Rent-A-Center — Local services in Casa Grande

This store will pressure you to buy items you cannot afford then refuse to work with you when things get hard. I purchased an item from this store several months ago after being harassed into doing so, explaining multiple times that I was just looking and was pretty confident I couldn’t afford the payments on the item.

The representative did everything he could to close the sale, promising he could lower the payments substantially using a promotion and pressuring me about when they could drop off the item. They dropped off the merchandise without confirming the date or time with me and I wasn’t even home to sign for it, my roommate at the time ended up signing for it (which I didn’t authorize) and I was never given a copy of my contract as requested.

When I got notice of my first payment being due, it was not what was promised. It was the price I told them I couldn’t afford. I tried my best to keep up on the payments but our home sustained a major floor a few weeks ago and most of our furniture (including the item leased from Rent A Center) had to be thrown out due to severe water damage. Because I had to miss work to deal with the flooding, I was fired from my job. I let Rent A Center know via both call and text and they couldn’t be bothered to show me any grace or sympathy, instead just demanding the payment they knew I didn’t have.

To date, I’ve paid beyond what the item was even worth in the first place in biweekly payments and have nothing to show for it. I’m struggling to find work and all Rent A Center cares about is money, calling multiple times a day and even showing up at the house I’m about to get evicted from demanding money or their merchandise that they know I don’t have anymore. Because the harassed me for being late only a couple dates and I was on my last payment to pay my table and chairs off and they wanted their stuff back I will never go back to them ever again or recommend any one to them cause if u go their u won't be happy I had paid off alot of stuff with them and only had my table to pay off they sat in front of my house for hours and more to see when someone would pull up in front of my house and then threaten they was going to take me to court but I gave them their stuff back even though I had one more payment left I tried to give them my payment and they said no so I will make sure I will take them to court asap for harassment and get my money back on what I paid cause they will never ever get my business nomore at all They are terrible on customer service they people that works there are very rude and more they call u with disrespect and send their drivers to ur house and they check ur doors to see if. I actually can’t wait to leave this company and return all my stuff because I’m really upset that this new management came and now they just go into all of your bank accounts that you have used over the time and just take money out.
