Pros: I love the options for setting up your game. You can choose to have a theme, have statistics show up (like your bowling speed, etc.) or something else I forgot. I chose the statistics one so it was cool to see that even though we aren't professionals.

The Cafe has a wide range of foods available and there is a bar (didn't checkout the bar). The French fries were good and I think my brother liked the jalapeño poppers or something like that. The burgers are a really good size.

We had a good time and the staff were kind.

They were able to put the guards up for the kids, but you can't have them switch up and down for older vs younger. We left them up and that was okay.

Cons: There aren't benches right next to where you bowl like other alleys but they did have some folding chairs down there for people.

I had the hot wings and they were not good at all, like I ate a couple and threw them away.

They didn't have the little gator slide thing for toddlers to roll the ball down.

Pro/Con: There are benches for seating but they're oddly far from the bowling "computer thing" lol. The nice thing though is that we eventually sat closer on the folding chairs and used the long counter space in front of the benches to put our...

Definitely needs improvements. They have specials on Saturday from 9-11pm for $20 unlimited games and shoe rental. Sadly you have to wait to get in and literally it’s not even packed once you pass the entrance. We didn’t get inside until 9:31pm and we were there waiting since 8:45pm in their lines. Then, when we got to the lanes 7,8 it was only 3 people on a lane and we had a party of 8 so we had to go up numerous times to adjust because you are not able to yourself. Other bowling’s alleys just give you the option to add as many names as you like and delete them yourself. Then the lanes weren’t even counting our points so we had to go up there and tell them. They should really have a call attendant button on the machines instead of going up there the numerous times. So we finally didn’t get to start playing until 9:50pm. Once it’s 11 they turn everything off and that not fair because literally half the time you are waiting or having them fix something. Also, Since it was a Saturday night you would think they would do fun things like have music on or even have some kind of fun lights. It was just very outdated and seems like it needs a lot of...

If I could give this place zero Stars I would. I went there last night which was a Friday night just to go bowling with three other girlfriends for my 40th birthday. First we were allowed to walk in the front door which is fine then we had to walk we thought through the bar so we did that we went up to the front desk they were going to give us our shoes but then realize we had not been searched by the security guards. So we headed towards the security guards which I might add were fully protected huge men that had metal detectors and the way they spoke to me was absolutely disturbing. All I had to ask was is this where we wait or do we go up to you guys and I got yelled at by a scary big man who was probably packing. The fact that I have to get searched and Pat it down by men that were armed and rude was very disturbing to me and I don't think I'll ever go there again. I'm so saddened by this event that this is what my kids are going to see Castro valley like armed and dangerous. It was...

My friend, her dad, and I decided to go bowling here. We live in Fremont and had to commute here because Cloverleaf Bowling at Fremont is permanently closed because it couldn’t survive the COVID pandemic. We want to come here because of how reasonable the bowling game prices are compared with other bowling alleys. It’s $5-6 per bowling game. Even though that the place is not as fancy, it follows the same gameplay (10 frames per game) It also has a food court, but I decided not to eat there because the food items are a bit pricey, but that’s not what really matters. Maybe next time. There was a time when our lane had a problem setting the pins. So, we had to ask the staff to fix it, and it got to the point that we have to go to a different lane due to technical issues. The good news is that our scores are saved after doing that. It was a fun experience bowling with my friend and her dad and I would come back here again. Hopefully, I can score over 100 even though I suck haha!

Last year on 9/23 I tried using my gift card at Castro Village Bowl and was told their card reader was not able to read this gift card. I was told I should try at a later date after their machine was fixed. Last week I tried again and was told the card was not valid and that I should come back later in the day and speak to the manager. I came back at 6pm and was told that Castro Village Bowl was under new ownership and that they no longer accept this gift card. How convenient. The manager said the only thing she could do was to speak to the owner if I leave my name and number. I have not heard back since. Also, lane 9 kept breaking down about every other frame. I am so disappointed in this place. Lessons learned is to never buy gift cards.

I expected a more updated design in the middle. The light is kind of gloomy and the atmosphere is not comfortable. In general, we had a fan. I myself have been in America recently and I don't know how things are set up here, but at my home in Ukraine, the bowling alley workers offer clean new socks. The shoes that were given to us are not new... and it remains unknown to me whether the shoes undergo some kind of cleaning or not? So I didn't like that moment with the socks. I did not feel comfortable.
