This place is amazing, and likely the best you’ll find here in the Hayward area.

For me alone George has done so much; he has fixed rings (like one that was snapped completely at one side), BOUGHT me a perfect silver necklace I still love that he got as an exact match to my steel necklace (which rusted and isn’t as good), resized bracelets twice (three times if you account when I asked for the size to be changed again on one), and even fixed my Mother’s Clock’s hands to work again, twice; ALL AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE.

George runs the place, and, he is a Saint. He looks at your stuff in-front of you and you can see a master at work: as he examines your piece and knows exactly what to do, telling to your face.

It’s also done in quick time, and the work is amazing.

I am a nut job about Silver, and I am happy to know Golden Jewelry, and George, in particular, for their/ his (it’s always him you talk to) work in repairing and assisting in jewelry.

George is amazing at his art of jewelry; I can only imagine how good he is with Gold, as he does amazing with the cheaper Silver.

ADDITION: I once came in when one of Golden Jewelry’s customers came in and requested help with a high end watch to be repaired.

George looked at the watch and told the man it was a fake, telling him how he could tell it was faked, which the man even accepted and said he knew it was not real.

George DID NOT turn him away from a repair. He only stated it would be a little pricey because even the fake pieces are high priced, but George would still repair it.

Went to have a simple custom pendant made. Was told it would take a week. Had to make multiple trips over the course of a month just to be told it wasnt ready, never being given a phone call though it was promised. After wasting a few hours going back and forth they say its finished (had to arrive they myself, no phone call was given me) and present me the pendant. It was ugly. The gem (worth more than the pendant fyi) was set so poorly that they should have been EMBARRASSED to present it in such a state. A cut that was meant to go straight down the center was crooked. "Accidental" cut was also present and unfixed. Scratches that seemed to have been from a vice or else is also visible at the side of the pendant. With all that being said, they offered to make adjustments to make it better but after having 'adjustments' being made twice already, I didnt want to waste more time going back and forth.

If you want to buy something already made they have fair selections available at the counter, but if you have something that requires any type of metalwork then know, this isnt the place.

My sweetheart wanted to get me a gold anklet. He ended up getting me on online. However, it wasn't exactly what he expected. The chain was too narrow, and it kept getting kinks in the chain, and I was afraid it would break.

So, he took me to a local jewelery store, Golden Jewelry, that had jewelry that you could actually see, touch, and try on. Somethings, you actually need to see and touch something before you buy. Jewelry is one if those things, kind of like shoes. It is nice to actually try it on, and see it before purchasing.

Golden Jewelry store is and old fashioned kind of jewelry store. The wife, Magally, is in the front showing the goods, and her husband, George, is in the back doing repairs. How many places these days can you go, where you can actually find someone to make alterations or repairs on jewlery.
