United States Postal Service — Local services in Cataño

I promised to change or update the review below if my envelope shows up. And yes, it was finally delivered. I still don't know in what condition. The reason for two stars is: A friend of mine got his envelope empty. Another friend of mine got 12K valuable stuff, also stolen in Cataño. Ojo al jefe en este USPS office. Si estas dejando que esto ocurra la culpa recaerá en ti. You better do something and monitor your people, put cameras on them or something, or this is merely your fault. Original review: So far, I'm very dissapointed. I'm only going to change this review if my priority mail package shows up somewhere. It's been in Cataño since February 3rd, still showing in transit today, the 9th! (Update: It was delivered to the designated address on February 12. ) The lady at USPS in San Juan told me it has not come out from Cataño yet. She has been trying to locate the package. She has sent two emails to this distribution center in Cataño and nothing. I called the destination to know if they got it already by chance since nothing is showing in the tracking number. I'm going to PR next week already. I should've waited to go and do all these transactions in person rather than sending all these important documents through a none reliable system. This distribution center doesn’t even deserve a star; however, in order to write a review, a rating was needed. Someone needs to investigate this distribution center and the Postmaster of this center. Packages that should be delivered to Virgin Islands are continuously being stolen, lost, or remain stuck at this location for over 30 days. Citizens depend on their mail being delivered timely and in a manner that is satisfactory. We depend on this service to lead our day to day lives. The postal service has failed to perform their duties to serve this community and no one in leadership at this Postal Service or leadership in the VI has stepped up to rectify this matter. They steal packages. Especially around holiday time, packages disappear into the abyss that is their post office. Complaints has been made for a number of years and yet it still happens all the time. Unfortunately it may never get resolved. I sent two packages. Their final destination was supposed to be St. Thomas. As per the tracking one was a case for a tablet which I assume they figure wasn't worth taking so it arrived fine. The second one was an appliance that made it St. Thomas and then sent back to PR for whatever reason.. After a month,...
