Super quick to get in but service was not great at all. I came to get my real ID and was told I only needed my birth certificate. I even went to pull out my social security card (before I realized I didn’t have it on me) and asked “can my social security card work?” The woman said “no I need your birth certificate”. So I proceeded to call my mother who was 35 minutes away and have her bring my birth certificate. I speak with another woman who is so sweet and helpful and overall a great employee. I sit down and tell her about how the woman told me I only needed my birth certificate. She then tells me I needed my social security card, which I was told I didn’t need, a form of mail, and my birth certificate. I realized I left my social security card at home but she let me use a picture of my social security card. It was guaranteed to get sent through because it wasn’t my actual card but she was definitely helpful. The next day I came in with my social security card to ensure I would get my REAL ID. I spoke with the same woman who gave me false information. I sat down and told her why I was there and I said “so I was told I only needed my birth certificate”. She not only interrupted me but lied and said she told me everything I needed. She continued to be rude and unhelpful. I even asked her questions and she didn’t know the answer to them. People who work here are perfectly nice and kind but this entire system is a hot mess. I used to drive fifteen minutes and now I have to drive an hour and dedicate three hours of my time to renew a license just in case it takes forever, which it did. There weren't enough chairs for all the people waiting and we had to stand for forty minutes. It's not the fault of the people who work here. The systems and computers they have been given are a joke. The parking here is minimal and largely unavailable at best. The whole thing is an absolute joke. Nothing has been made easier. It's a nightmare. Real ID nonsense aside, centralizing so many counties into one office is idiotic. Who did it make this easier for? Certainly...
