Petco — Local services in Cedar Grove

BUGS IN FOOD, STORE REFUSED EXCHANNGE! Our family has been taking our puppy to this store since we got her. Petco has been our go to store for all of our puppies needs as we trusted their products would be of the highest quality and help keep our pet healthy and happy like they so famously and bodily advertise. We even took puppy classes at this location so it's absolutely disgusting to be treated the way we were treated during our visit today. Our puppy has not been eating her food which she was previously so excited about! She never missed a meal and now all of the sudden she won't touch her food at all! Upon further inspection we found that her food was infested with bugs that appeared to be beetles. After carrying almost 100lbs of food to the store not even for a refund but for an exchange we were rudely denied. We were denied speaking to the manager on duty or the supervisor the woman handling our exchange saying that we "have to deal with me." We didn't even want a refund or any of our money back we just wanted to change our puppies food for something that wasn't infested with bugs! Not only were we disrespectfully treated and denied any further assistance but we had to bring the infested bags back home with us and find a different store to buy our puppies food. If you want to be treated like a valued customer do yourself a favor and avoid this location at all cost! No care for their customers, awful customer service, over 4 bags of dog food infested with bugs and denied an exchange. We've been loyal Petco shoppers for so long even before our puppy and will no longer be returning. But don't take my word for it look at the absolutely horrible reviews this location has received about its staff and their level of dedication to PetCare! I will be emailing the company with videos and pictures of the bugs...

Being a loyal customer means nothing at Petco. Having spent hundreds here or thousands at petco in my life and being at this location pretty much weekly in the last few months I tried to return a few cans of cat food - for the first time - bc my cat is sick and has reduced appetite and probably doesn’t have that long to live. Even though I have been told it’s ok to return food in the past I was informed this time I can’t return them all bc a few of my cans were over 30 days since purchased. (It wouldn’t have been more than a couple months). I’ve never been told this before. Telling someone they can’t help them even for a few can returns, well it feels just like telling someone their value as a customer doesn’t exist. It’s also upsetting because it’s relating to your sick cat and they won’t give you the smallest break. Plus the cat food I was trying to get (their name brand) was hardly in stock. Only three small cans left. I won’t be back and that’s a good thing because it’s also seriously depressing to see all the caged birds and reptiles they keep here to sell. It’s incredibly sad. The bird cages have a fake rainforest poster behind them. I’m glad they do cat adoption and that’s the reason...

We are very disappointed with the service we received yesterday we brought our puppy there to get cleaned before that's why we returned. Im still in shock every time my granddaughter look at our puppy and it brings tears her eyes she angry and she sad because she trust them. We had an appointment for her to get groomed you know "the works" she had an 9am They called my daughter about an hour later to come get the puppy they were not able to work on her because she was bitting the groomer. This is a 5 month old cockapoo weighing a grand 5 pounds. Teeth can't pierce anything yet. When my granddaughter arrived her puppy was shaved and unevenly her head and face wasn't trimmed at all. My granddaughter didn't notice how much was cut because they had her coat on and put her in the crate when we got home and took her coat off her body was totally shaved you could see her skin , parts of her legs shaved some parts not , her head her ears not at all her hair is so long you can't see her eyes. She looked like someone abused her and left her out in the cold. Thank God they didn't cut her or didn't her nails... We will be taking our puppy to west orange...
