The store offers a good selection of Mediterranean and some Eastern European products. I purchased a really good babaganoush that seems to be made in-house. However, it didn’t have any tags or descriptions, only the price. I recognized it by its appearance. I think it would be helpful to have an item tag with the name, ingredients, and the date it was made.
I also had a rather awkward interaction with the cashier, who was otherwise nice. When she told me the total was $36.67, I handed her two $20 bills and mentioned that I will give her the $0.67 as well. She insisted that I didn’t need to give her the $0.67. I explained that I didn’t want metal change, which is why I was offering [the extra]. She still insisted it wasn’t necessary, and in the end, she gave me $3 and coins as change. It was a bit weird.. considering that her English was good.
That said, the store is lovely, and I found some delicious...

She's been a bit condescending with her tone, uses abrasive body gestures when communicating with me that feels competitive and aggressive towards me. I don't know if it's me personally as a woman similar to her age group, if it's from a insecurity of wanting male attention, or if she is projecting someone else onto me without knowing me or if it's from the culture of her university of Texas being a competitive education environment. Either way, I instinctively want to avoid her and hope she improves or avoids being aggressive and competitive with me to for my comfort as...
Read morePerfect location, amazing products. I went to this Mediterranean food market today and it was their first day. It has been worth waiting so long for them to start operating. There are hundreds of Halal products a separate grocery section and meat section. Every place is so clean and shiny. All the meat and poultry is Halal. And the meat is fresh cut and the prices are really convenient. The manager and the staff are all friendly. Though it was the very first day they were giving very great service. Moreover there is a small playground at the parking lot and 4 picnic tables. And a small food truck which serves coffee and crepes and desserts. Moreover it is next to Alzer’s barbecue restaurant. So this is kind of meeting point for people looking for halal food and restaurant. Thank you for opening this...
