Was looking for some good Chinese food around me and stumbled on this place. They claim to have authentic Nepali food as well. The reviews do justice to the food they serve.
We ordered veg chowmein, veg momos and chicken momos and asked them if they can fry another serving of veg momos as my mother in law likes it that way. They didnot have that on their menu but agreed to our request. We also tried their garlic naan and dal makhni. (Forgot to click pics)
The same request was made by us at several other places but none could match our expectations except this place.
The chowmein were decent, almost like home made, momos were great! The momo chutney was nice but I expected that red chilli chutney which was missing.
Garlic naans were soft and quite big, dal makhni could have been better as I feel the spices we use in north India are a little different from what they had used.
I gave them 4 stars just because despite the order being to go they missed putting cutlery and napkins.
They are offering curb...
Read moreI have been coming to Yak n Yeti for years now, they have been my preferred Indian restaurant. Unfortunately my most recent experience was so bad I don’t think I will be going back, nor will I continue to recommend them to others. When I arrived to pick up my food last week, I handed them my gift card, which I received at Christmas. The woman at the register told me they don’t accept gift cards, and when I tried to explain it had money on it that they had already received, she just shrugged and basically told me too bad. I believe she mumbled something about new management, as though new management meant they could break the law by selling gift cards they didn’t intend to honor. As if that wasn’t insulting enough, when I got home with my food (that I had to wait for for almost ten minutes despite arriving after the “ready” time given online when I ordered) I realized they had given me the wrong order. The food is delicious but I won’t go back to a business that robbed me AND gave me the wrong...

I already miss the old Y&Y, but the new one tastes good -- just very different!
I'm just a white guy who loves flavorful food, and so far the new ownership has tried to keep the same menus -- but the way they cook everything is different. TASTY but DIFFERENT.
I feel this new Y&Y is now more Indian in flavor than before, which l love, but it doesn't bring anything new to the table while the old Y&Y had very different flavors that made it very unique.
The new version is just like every other "Indian" restaurant... which has removed its uniqueness.
The portions are slightly larger now, which is good... but they also cut the meat much larger. The smaller cut food from the old style was something that l liked because it created a better blend of different flavors in my mouth all at once while the larger cuts give you just the one flavor of that bite (if that makes sense).
I'll still support this new version, but not as often as l did the old....
