We left both of our dogs at the Eastern Iowa Pet Resort in the spring, so I'm late doing this review. I thought they did an EXCELLENT job and would recommend them to anyone. One of our dogs is kind of a scaredy cat, but he did a great job when he went to day care a couple of the days he was there. I think it was good for him. The other dog has anxiety and, when I leave him, he barely eats. So, when that was going on with Teddy, EIPR did a wonderful job of letting me know that Duffy was eating pretty well and Teddy was not. But, they said he was drinking water, so I knew he'd be okay and he was eating a little. Because I knew that Teddy doesn't eat well when I leave him, I wasn't surprised and I was sure he wasn't going to starve. It has happened before and it will happen again. They also do a great job during day care. Duffy, the big dog, doesn't dislike other dogs, but he LOVES people and would rather be with a person than another dog (except for Teddy). He learned how to play with other dogs a bit better than he did before going to daycare. The place is immaculately clean and ALL of the employees are just as nice as they can be. NO COMPLAINTS!!! I urge you to...
Read moreI boarded my dog for 6 days. She has terrible separation anxiety and she's never really been left alone except for a couple hours here and there at home. I provided a few items to help her feel more comfortable. A Thunder shirt, a snuggle puppy the you can put a warming pack in that lasts 24 hrs. Since she likes to sleep on a heating pad at home and I provided her own food and water bowl to help her feel more at home. All of those things were never used. As well as she had some of her anxiety medication leftover that was for before bed and there should not have been any of her medication leftover. I'm extremely disappointed considering I left instructions with them to use these few simple things to help ease my dog's anxiety and literally none of it was used. Definitely will not be using their...
Read moreI have taken my dog there twice and both times he has not came home with what I left there. The first time I took his blanket and his rawhide bone and he came home with the blanket but not the bone. The second time I left him there he came home with the bone but not the blanket. Problem is they can’t even find the blanket. It should have been left in his room with him at all times so I have no clue what they did with it or maybe even gave it to someone else to take home. Normally I wouldn’t care but this blanket was made by his foster mother and given to me when I adopted him and he’s had it ever since. I don’t think it should be that hard to keep track of their belongings but it seems to be a problem not only with my dog but with other customers...
