Loved the store, bought a sectional sofa. Was told 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. It has been longer than 6 weeks and the delivery hasn't happened yet. I was told it would be done on Saturday when buying the couch, now Wednesday is my only option. Was told they would call me to schedule a 2 hour window, now I had to call them to find out they scheduled it for me at a very inconvenient time. When I called to find this out I was told that "there was nothing I could do unless I wanted to cancel it and wait for a later date" and the representative became rude. The delivery was a paid service, not something they offer as a convenience. And you cannot pick it up yourself from this store because it's shipped from a different location, forcing you to pay for this service. I'm extremely disappointed that what I paid for and was told would happened is not being delivered and no other solution is being provided to me. I will update this if the couch is ever delivered.
Edit 1: Couch was delivered 6 1/2 weeks after purchase. Which was close to the promised time frame but on the wrong day of the week and the couch was delivered with a hole in the couch from where it rubbed in the delivery truck. The delivery guys were nice but stated "it's ok, the hole is on the back". We signed with a service request and the delivery team took photos. After a couple of weeks, we had not heard from Amish, so we gave them a call. They said they never got the photos of the damage and that we needed to send them more. We got them more photos and were told it would be taken care of. We had no idea on how long or if it would be replaced or repaired. This whole time receiving the offensive service that I have come to expect from Amish.
Edit 2: The repair guy came and tore the couch apart, which made me uneasy, but he did a good job of putting it back together after re-upholstering the damaged section. However, it is a repair and you can tell that it is, it is not as clean of a job as what came from the factory. I ordered and paid for this couch on 2/20/16 and finally have a pieced back together version of what I paid for 12 1/2 weeks later on 5/18/16.
I have not received a response from Amish on this matter and every time I have called, the reps there at the centennial store hang up on you once they have said what they want--usually that it "will be taken care of". That might not be fair because I believe I have dealt with mainly 1 guy and it wasn't the guy I worked with when purchasing the couch.
I absolutely love the couch, but whether you need to pay more or pay less, do whatever you can to...
Read moreI love this store! The first time I was in the store, I was looking for a diningroom/ kitchen table. I walked around to see my options. My eyes were immediately drawn to a sawn oak set. I knew that was the one I wanted. The size of the table was too big for my dining area. Phoebe helped me and offered to order a different size table. She went above and beyond by rearranging the chairs and measuring to be sure they would work with my smaller table. I ended up ordering it. They called me when it arrived, but I was not ready for delivery as our kitchen/dining area was still in the process of being remodeled. They said they would hold it for me. In the meantime, I decided I would like a small china cabinet. Brian helped me that time. I also needed that smaller than anything they had. He said he would get an estimate from the Amishman that would be making it. Brian helped me design it. He walked around with me with a tape measure and offered a lot of suggestions for what would look good for a china cabinet that size. He called me when he received that estimate. I went back months later and Phoebe helped me pick out the hardware and made sure everything was the way I wanted it before she finalized the sale. My next purchase will be bar stools. Phoebe printed me a copy of the one I was most interested in so I could check the size to see if they will work. She is an awesome sales person! She is so willing to help and I can tell she...
Read moreI purchased a couch on September 3rd and was told it would take 2-3 months to arrive, but that they would be able to give me a better estimate after the order went through. I called back a week later and asked for when the couch would arrive, to which I was informed they would call me back. They did not. I called again at the two week mark and was told they would call me back with a better estimate, to which my phone still remained silent. In mid October, I called a third time and was told they would call me back at the start of November with a delivery time, which I could expect mid November. And unsurprisingly, they did not call me yet again. I just called them today and asked about my couch and was told it was in transit and they would call me back after talking with the shipping company. However, THIS time I finally got a call back and was informed they were mistaken. The couch is not ready, has not been shipped, and at best will arrive in 4 more weeks - but apparently I was informed that 16 weeks is typical when I purchased (No, nope, not quite - I was never told 16 weeks - and I expressed that I would NOT buy the couch unless it could be delivered before the end of November). After the phone call today, my gut tells me that this order was never properly placed and that I'm not going to see a couch...
