I called on 6/30 and spoke with a sales associate regarding a purchase of 2 6v golf cart batteries for my camper. I explained that I wanted to purchase online to take advantage of the 10% discount. The sales associate confirmed he had the batteries in stock. I mentioned that I only had 1 battery to trade in he said, no problem. He also stated that there was an additional $10 off mail in rebate, but I had to purchase by 6/30 to take advantage. I did just that, and made mention that I spoke with him and would be in after the 4th of July holiday weekend to pick up the batteries...fast forward to today. I went to pick up the batteries and spoke with the manage Craig. He asked if I had 2 cores to trade in I said, no I had one and the sales associate I spoke with said it wouldn't be a problem. He insisted that it would be a problem and that I would have to pay an additional $12. I took issue with this, stating that the sale associate stated no I wouldn't have to pay that. I asked to confirm that there was mail in rebate paper work for an additional $10 per battery. The manager looked and could not find any rebate offer. I asked what could be done...nothing. Craig wasn't helpful, and refused to honor any of the promises made by the other associate. I asked if he knew him and he said yes, and there was nothing he could do. At this time the other sales associate offered that the core charge was wrong, it wasn't $12 it was actually $16. NICE...now I'm being asked to pay an additional $36 dollars. I asked for a refund and left. Craig isn't cut out to be a manager and his sales associate was more than excited to offer up less than helpful information and support the managers bad attitude and terrible customer service.
Here is where is gets better...I called the South West Plaza location and explained what had just happened. I asked, is this a Batteries Plus thing or just a bad manager. The guys I spoke with at the South West Plaza store were awesome! They said that they would not only match what I had been told, but would beat it if possible. He asked me to hold while he confirmed that he had the batteries in stock, came back on the line and said yes we will be happy to make it right.
Avoid the Centennial location, make the drive out to South West Plaza. The new manager at that location is awesome. I walked out of the store paying what I had been promised by the previous sales associate, I did not have to pay the additional core fee, he honored the rebate in a straight discount...in addition I left with a handful of LED bulbs at an amazing price. I like Batteries Plus, but the Centennial location lost a $300+ dollar sale as a result of terrible customer service and an overall...
Read moreIn early November, I ordered a replacement front glass for my phone which was quoted for $200. I never heard back from the person who ordered it for me so I went in and they either ordered the wrong part or it never came in.. this type thing will be repeated throughout my experience. However they did have a more expensive kit that cost $100 more as it had a replacement battery. Exasperated and not wanting to wait any longer I bit the bullet and paid the extra cost. However the battery installed does not perform as good as my previous battery and often dies within 4 hours. Furthermore my front camera doesn't appear to work anymore. Lastly during the install the operator broke my back glass panel.. I was assured that they can replace the damage panel at no cost. However I've attempted on six occasions now to get it replaced but am unable to as they claim it is not in stock but it is available at another store and they can get it within a day or two. I was promised that upon receiving of the part I will be contacted to set up an appointment for the repair. However no call is ever given and when I call them back they have no idea what I'm talking about and have to start the process all over again. I spoke to the manager on several occasions. One occasion he said the part was actually in stock and to come by to get my phone fixed.. however when arriving I was told that it was actually not in stock and he doesn't recall talking to me.. now I am on hold for over an hour to talk to him a third time.. it's been 6 weeks and the worst service I've ever experienced.. I rather just have a broken phone at this point.....
Read moreI have been purchasing specialty bulbs and batteries from these guys for years, but had the strangest interaction there on Saturday evening. As I arrived 7 minutes before their 7pm closing with no one in the store. After announcing my presence several times, "Robert" finally appeared from the back. I asked him about purchasing a flashlight when he bluntly replied that they did not have what I was looking for. .. Since he did not understand what I was actually looking for, I knelt down to look at the variety of options on the lower shelf, when he suddenly shut off all the lights and rushed by me to lock the doors. I asked him to please leave the lights on so that I could see. He replied that it doesn’t matter because I could not buy one anyway since they were “now closed” - I told him that I had arrived prior to closing and that I just needed a minute to figure out how I could make one of them work for my needs. He said no, and that I needed to get out of there. I told him that this was not appropriate and that I would report him to his manager. He then yelled “are you threatening me because I am Jewish?” I don’t know why he brought up his faith, but it was all beyond bizarre. Go elsewhere for your battery...
