Worst truck rental experience I’ve ever had.
My wife and I woke up at 3:45am to get our uHaul rental at 4am to start our busy day moving. Upon arriving at 4am, uHaul said there’s no self checkout at this location so we needed to wait until 5am when the store opens. That’s more of a backstory of leading into my experience with this convenience store but not exactly their fault.
After our move being forcefully pushed back an hour, we arrived ahead of 5am to pick up our truck.
They were late opening so wasn’t able to go in until 5:10am. Once I go in, the lady told me no on picking up my truck because “it’s too early and they need to make breakfast.” I thought she was joking. But then she kept shaking her head and shooing me away. After standing my ground and informed her time and time again that my reservation was already set up, she decided to do the finished paperwork for me and hand me my keys. She told me, “I don’t know where it’s parked. Just walk around.”
So then I was sent into the very dark parking lot to search for this vehicle for the next ten minutes. I found my truck, which smelt so bad I had to drive around in 100 degree weather with the windows down.
I’m not someone who nit picks a lot of things. But it was truly one thing after another of some of the worst customer service I’ve ever had in my life.

Reserved a truck on-line days in advance. On the day-of, the truck I reserved had engine issues. The operators of Center Point expected me to drive it to a repair facility for them, or to take to another U-Haul Establishment 30 minutes away and trade it for them. They refused a refund, explaining "U-Haul has your money now, we can't get it back". I had to spend almost two hours waiting at another U-Haul facility, because U-Haul in-fact did NOT have my money, this establishment did and wouldn't relinquish my $800+ in rental fees despite the fact I left with no truck or equipment.    Read moreI have rented Uhaul more than once there. And have sent friends there . I've been diagnosed terminal . Unfortunately issues have occurred. Dave & Veer have always shown me respect. Knowing that sometimes I simply can't avoid a late return. Even though I may feel guilty . They have never made me feel uncomfortable concerning my health issues . Many businesses could care less . And have shown their lack of decency for humanity. I normally don't take part of review's . Reason being just the simple fact that businesses these days. Could care less for their customer experience &service . So I'm taking this opportunity to tell Dave & Veer their kindness is appreciated and I'm a loyal customer as long as I'm here on this earth .
