i love this place.. the employees are super nice and knowledgeable.. all of them! i get compost from here all the time and the moment i walk in, the employees know what i am there for and seem very grateful that i can pick it up! that being said, i am very happy that natural grocers does not throw away old produce, but rather choose to reuse it for a good purpose. other stores need to learn from this one!! they release great deals every month too, GET THEIR NEWSLETTER!!! i buy lots of my organic meats and eggs here because its much lower cost wise compared to frys or walmart, despite it being organic. i recommend that everyone switch their primary grocery store to natural grocers and ditch the others for essentials. to add to all of this, they are environmentally friendly from the bag-free checkouts (they do have boxes if you do not bring your own bag) to the biodegradable produce bags. you can tell this company truly cares about the environment unlike these other grocery stores. Read moreI'm vegan so I come here a lot but this time there was a worker named Christian with like a race war shirt on? He made me very uncomfortable. Should have taken a picture.
Idk who there made him feel like that was okay (probably the new, older gentleman he talked to who gave me a dirty look while Christian was just nervous until he got the confidence to smirk and confirm he knew what his shirt implies), feels brazenly off-brand. It was a militia-styled shirt with the word RACE purposefully made prominent by being the only word in white iirc. Bit on the nose, but that's what he went with. I like this store and would be MILDLY surprised by a customer wearing that shirt and shopping there, let alone an employee wearing it.
He chose the shirt purposely because the decals show around the apron lol. Not an accident. Trying to "troll" by threatening large segments of...
Read moreGreat natural grocery store sized for faster shopping! This isn't huge like Whole Foods (WF), but it has a little bit of everything and I've found the prices are very competitive. Even better, I don't have to wander a huge store when I just have a handful of items to buy; this is my go-to store for replenishing weekly consumables of the organic, sustainable variety (so, just about everything for my household).
I still go to WF and Safeway for some items, but I come to Natural Grocers more often. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, there are regular health and nutrition classes and meetings that can be signed up for, and there's a coupon savings program keyed to your phone #.
I discovered Natural Grocers a few months ago and love it. My only criticism so far is that it doesn't carry milk chocolate...
