Revival City Doughnuts — Restaurant in Charleston

I live an hour away and each time I am in town I pass this cute shop, yesterday we finally stopped to try them out and WOW!!!! Most amazing, delicious donuts ever! The variety was impressive, the prices were surprisingly low given how these doughnuts are more of a gourmet experience than your every day gas station pastry. They are very obviously hand made and FRESH!!!!! I would drive another hour just to try a few more flavors and definitely plan to visit them any time I'm in the area. Oh, and the best part... the customer service was phenomenal. Fred was a sweetheart, had great recommendations, and packed up our order with great care. This place is a waste of time and money I gave it a one star but wish I could rate a -5 star. Donuts were dry and cream filled had next to no cream and there was no flavor whatsoever. The maple square had no icing and what was on it flaked right off. I'll just stick with county market donuts, they are the best by far. A word to the owner if you wanna open a business in baking make sure you have plenty of supplies to stay open during operation hours. When you run a business and you have set certain hours keep to those hours if you run out of supplies go get more and keep running. Also, charging $12 for 9 Donuts is a bit excessive I can get a dozen or more for $12 at the local county market or walmart so I will stick with them they...

All the doughnuts I’ve tried have been great (I choose ones with flavor profiles I like i.e. fruity pebbles, Oreo, chocolate, vanilla). I’ve gotta recommend the daddy-o (really tastes like those cupcakes!!!), tutti-frutti and maple square. Of course, can’t go wrong with an original donut.

They sell out often so I recommend going when they open as you’ll have the best luck of getting the donuts you want. Also, check their Facebook page as they often post their menu for the day there.
