Solar Nails — Local services in Charlotte

I’m a regular here and have been for the past 7 years. I usually get gel manicure and have been satisfied with their services over the years. However, I went for a gel manicure last weekend and was HIGHLY Disappointed with the way my nails were painted. I wanted to try white and my nails looked like a 7 year-old’s paint job. I expressed my concerns to the nail technician several times while I was there, but she assured me that it will look better after I wash my hands. I left the salon extremely agitated after spending $120 for my husband and I. After a few days my nails got worse and started chipping. I went back today and showed the manager my nails. They called the technician to let her know since it was her day off. The technician (Lilly) asked to speak to me on the phone and began yelling at me. She told me not to ask her to do my nails anymore and I was complaining because I don’t like the color. She said it’s because white is hard to paint. The manager was also irritated towards me and told me I don’t like white and that’s why I came back. They didn’t accept any responsibility for their service and blamed me for picking white. I asked the manager to paint my nails white again, but correctly. She refused to paint my nails white and said they can’t do white for me. I’ve never heard of a nail salon saying they can’t paint white! She did agree to do my nails over in a different color. I was HIGHLY Disappointed on how they handled that whole situation. This was an off day. Normally the service is exceptionally high but today, yikes! Good: Free glass/es of wine Clean restrooms Lot of polish options S/S, Gel, regular, etc. Great teamwork Clean seating area Kid friendly Watch TV Easy to spot in traffic On the 2nd floor They nipped her skin/patched her quickly Bad: Wife nails look horrific with nail splotches. White polish looks good but it has to be done right. She complained and it still doesn't look right; she's returning. I got the Deluxe package which is the Mani/Pedi w/ massage, wax, buffing[for me] or polish[if you prefer]. They tried to skip my feet/hand buffing then got upset when I addressed my concern. I know they're under new management but most of the staff have been there for a long time; unacceptable. When you spend over $100 for service, you expect to get your monies worth with great service. Overall: I come here often and usually it's a great experience. If these behaviors happen repeatedly, I'll be going somewhere else. We...

My experience was horrible, I've never had this bad of experience with getting my nails done. The lady that did my toes rushed through everything & did a horrible job. My filing was very uneven, she didn't even cut my toes nails, my cuticles were not pushed back, my heals are all rough, my polish is all messy and was on my actual toe not my nail. When we asked her to fix it all she did was give me a nasty look and come and take some nail polishes remover which messed it up even more! When we went to go pay the lady charged my card with the wrong amount and then said she "cancelled it" yeah we called our credit card company and they said there was still two charges on the card.
