Best sauce ever. Wings never frozen! I have worked in two pubs cooking wings for a living and have eaten wings at many, many other restaurants, and my opinion is this place has by far the best wings I've ever eaten. The skin on the wings is crispy and has been fried at the exact right temperature. The result is that the sauce isn't absorbed through the skin, and the wings stay crispy much longer than at other places. The basic sauce itself (from mild to "frick'n hot" has a thicker, creamier texture than the usual margarine/texas pete blend that most places use. Its closest competitor for taste and texture is Buffalo Wild Wings, but BW's sauces have almost a grainy mouth feel that is too thick, and I find that a little unpleasant. So, basically, Frick'n Chicken's sauce is by far the best. The wings are never frozen, and the difference that creates is obvious after your first bite. the meat on Frick'n Chicken's wings is both moist and firm without being chewy. Previously-frozen wings are rubbery and the meat appears mashed due to ice crystals tearing the muscle fiber. But that's not a problem at Frick'n Chicken. Breadsticks as a side might seem odd at first, but the buttery, salty, slightly garlicky bread makes the perfect material for dipping in the wing drippings and sauce. Bottom line: eat here...

My first time back in over 6 years, and wow, this place is still an amazing hidden gem in South Charlotte. They've changed their name (now Flip-a-Lo's), but their chicken strips are still incredibly fresh and tasty. They pride themselves on their "never frozen chicken," and they use it to their advantage with their homemade sauces. We tried the medium buffalo (spicy and buttery at the same time - fantastic), lemon pepper (zesty without being spicy), and honey BBQ (simply WOW). Also, their bread sticks are fluffy and tasty. We talked with the owner for a little bit (really friendly and trying so hard to please customers). She brought us a little rice with the teriyaki flavoring, which we can't wait to try on our chicken during our next visit. Oh yes, we will be back. Prices were fair - not cheap, but not too expensive either. Reasonable value for the quality and quantity of food provided. Overall, a very tasty, fresh, enjoyable visit - highly recommend if you're looking for good...

Absolutely superb!!! I am so stoked I found this gem as it reminds me of Wings n Things when I lived in San Diego! I got the 10 pc traditional, half hot and half FlipnGold (sooo good!), celery/carrots, fries, and breadsticks. Wings were cooked to perfection and perfect size, sauces on point and flavorful, breadsticks melt in your mouth and are soooo good 🤤, just as I remembered,..had enough ranch for my wings and celery/carrots, and even the fries were good. Chris the owner was so nice and personable, it was such a joy chatting with him. The experience and service is just as important as the food in my opinion. From my experience and view, hands down fav place for wings in Charlotte (they were voted best wings in Charlotte, well deserved!). I have no desire or need to get wings anywhere else, this is my spot from here on out! Highly recommend!

P.S. (Sorry didn’t get a good picture before eating, I was too excited! And after the first bite, it...

My youngest celebrated his birthday here and it was our first time visiting. We ordered family pak that came with choice of wings or tenders but not both. That was a bummer cause I would have loved to try both half wings and half tenders. Unfortunately, we ordered the tenders, which came out promptly and cooked golden and crispy on the outside, and they were moist and looked delicious but lacked any seasonings from our tasting! The sauce comes by default on the tenders, but I had requested it on the side since we had multiple sauces. Fries ordered separately came hot and seasoned! I split another order of wings with my oldest son, and the same result... no seasoning. The sauces were good, though 👌. On the side came celery, and carrot sticks and drinks had to be ordered separately as well. Overall, I didn't find that it matched up to some of the "best wings" titled ratings and reviews. They better hope Raising Canes don't come here to Charlotte!!
