How can servers be so unprofessional when going to restaurants has become more expensive than ever. I went in to grab a bite to eat and watch some of the Euro 2024 Tourney and sat down at the bar and waited. There was only a girl sitting at the other end of the bar and maybe 8 other people. When no one came to me, after an amount of time, that delved into the uncomfortable, I went back to the pizza making area to see if I could find out what their policy is. So, when I did, the girl sitting at the bar hopped up and went back there so clearly she worked there. There was also a man that was clearly the cook, but he didn’t say anything. I asked her, “am I supposed to sit and wait for someone to come to me or do I come up here and order”? Her response to me didn’t make sense based on the question I asked. So I told her that, “I didn’t understand what you just said, I was asking do I sit there and wait for someone to come to me or do I come back here to order and she snapped at me. I was in food service 19 years and I know that service has not changed so much that servers can just snap at you because you ask him a question like I just asked. From that point on I tried to talk to her and she was just mean. I see that the owner views this site and I would really take note of what just happened to me and consider some additional training. Needless to say, though I will not be back.
In response to what you just wrote, so there is no sound and yet somehow you can hear the f bomb? The way I was treated starts at the top. All of this is a reflection of the philosophy of your establishment. I was never asked to leave because the minute the girl snapped at me from my question, I told her I was out of there right then. I can assure you that that never happened. Businesses work hard to develop new customers. They also invest a lot in their brand. It speaks volumes that as opposed to trying to resolve an issue here you just try to shine the light on your lost customer and blame this poor treatment on others. After my appointment, I went to Char Bar 7 to watch the end of that game and the service was night today compared to you guys. I would recommend you go up there and take some notes.
No biggie, I am sure I’m not the only one that is experiencing this sort of customer service in your establishment. When you see one roach, there are more”. Good luck moving forward, you’re gonna need it.
(Wow, reading down these reviews I can see that when you respond to complaints it’s one excuse after another from you. It makes me want to ask, are you ever wrong? Unbelievable.) Wow, interesting how you went and edited your comment after my response to sound apologetic. The...
Read moreJust a suggestion to the owner Maria and her server. When a customer orders a pizza and it's missing the most expensive ingredient (truffle oil), which is most likely the reason a customer would order the pizza, you should immediately apologize and offer a discount on the meal if you are out of that ingredient. I had to ask for my meal to be discounted and the server seemed like it was an unreasonable request when it should have happened automatically. I appreciate you giving me half off after me asking (I didn't ask for half off), but that's really not the point. I would have been happy if I didn't have to ask and you discounted a couple bucks off the pizza. Customers don't care about excuses like the one's you gave me (we ran out and the cooks didn't tell me, we're really busy), and then the server not being sure if she could give me a discount. The excuses were irrelevant because your cooks intentionally left an ingredient off of the pizza because they didn't have the truffle oil to begin with. To myself and anyone else in this business that would be a no brainier to offer a discount if there were ingredients missing from a menu item, especially an expensive one like truffle oil. Working in the food service business for over 15 years, I know that first impressions are everything. Learn from this and provide better customer service to...
Read more2 guests, seated quickly but went down hill from there... waited at the table for 10 minutes to be approached by a server. Every server in the place walked by at least once without a glance. Finally went back to hostess stand to ask for a manager and also asked if either of the two had informed the server they had seated her table. They told me with attitude that they didn't know where the manager was. I waited patiently while they approached the server but they still didn't make a move to find management. By the time the manager had come out, my husband had overheard a nasty comment from one of the hostesses as they passed by him. The manager immediately (also the owner I learned) began making excuses about poor help and how much she worked all the while smirking about our poor experience. Being in the business, I realized then that poor service begins at the top. The owner offered us a nice quiet dinner on their heated patio (it's 35 degrees) but never apologized. Agreed with me that the hostesses needed to be fired but wanted me to find her two more. Completely unprofessional and we will...
