This trail runs through downtown and has countless twist and turns and you may actually become confused at some point. When I was near the Hunter Museum, I didn’t know which way to go. Plus, there are too many people and dogs to enjoy cycling long distance. There are plenty of restrooms and places to rest etc. It’s very clean and seems very safe because it’s saturated with so many! I enjoy a trail ride where you don’t have to twist and turn etc. I would recommend riding on the South Chickamauga Creek Greenway. I enjoyed this ride much more. I did see Lookout Mountain and there were other views but this trail is not for me. I enjoy seeing the trees and being out in the open and not surrounded by concrete(concrete jungle)! I recommend parking at the Amnicola Marsh near Steel Warehouse. On the trail all it states to park at Ross Landing but this is paid parking which makes no sense because free parking all along trail. If you park where I recommended, go to the right towards steel company because this is longest part. If you go left the trail is maybe 3.5 miles long and filled with dogs...
