Recently remodeled, currently resurfacing the parking lot. If you're a regular there, you know they moved everything around. I couldn't even find the dog food in there the other day. It's okay. I'll figure it out. The meat and the produce is always fresh, but don't except to find too many high-end items. Same with the deli. They have fresh sliced meats and cheese, but they don't have a wide selection or carry the high-end brands. The brand the do carry, which is like a store brand or something, is actually pretty decent. I got a whole pound of hard salami there the other day for $4.99, but then they didn't have any Italian rolls. I wound up just getting some deli rolls from the bread isle which were okay, but a kaiser roll would have been better. The people there are nice, friendly and helpful, the service is good and the place is clean, so there's nothing to complain about. There's room for improvement, but that's more of a corporate thing. I used to work in supermarkets so I understand customer service, merchandising, gross profit and all that stuff. The way Food Lion does things doesn't really make much sense...
Read moreOh how the mighty have fallen. What can I say about this Food Lion but "What is that SMELL!!!" When I was younger, I use to work for this establishment and it is nothing like it was before. I was an overnight stocker and the management was polite and very warm. Employees seemed happier and made sure the customers were able to find all they need. Recently, after church, me and my mother who is 83 years old, want to purchase an item, and she asked this employee on a item and was given a cold shoulder. She was very rude and didn't seem to want to be disturbed from stocking the frozen department. I felt some type of way and wanted to confront the employee for her rudeness, but took the higher ground and never came back. Not all the Employees are like that, one employee was very helpful and engaging, but all it takes is one to really make the an experience not worth the time or mine or my family's money. They need a lesson from the Food Lion on Mills Creek road. Overall this really needs to change...

The old white lady that works customer service ignored me and continued her conversation until i had to interrupt and ask do they do money orders.my money order was for a little over 1200.. she looked at me like i couldn't possibly have that much money on a card then proceeded to call the "manager ". then she asked if it was debit which it was then she wanted to see the card and my license..my signature was rubbed a little then she tried to tell me my card i couldn't use my card because of a signature.i asked her why do you even need to see my card if im clearly using debit and im using a pin. she just looked at me with a stupid look on her face like she.. basically she was acting treating me like i stole someones card..very ignorant and needs a course in discrimination and customer service...never have this happened in any food lion i shopped at and i don't appreciate being treated this way..and the "manager" she called...
