A great Family experience!! And different levels of experience!! The Hay Ride is relaxing and enjoyable with family friendly scares!! Move on to the Haunted Forrest Trail and the scares increase to more of an old kid, teen and adult!! The Haunted Forrest Trail was my personal favorite 😍! Psychosis is the most extreme of the scares!! Not so much for its jump scares, but the play on all your body's senses it's a total mind flare!! However still friendly for all ages!!! The new addition, the Zombie Shoot is a blast!! Nothing better then using real paintball markers, with real paintball to shoot zombies coming to eat your brains!! And there are enough guns for you and your whole crew!!! A must do in my book!! And the Zombie Assult give you the real life feeling of trying to out run a zombie hoard in a mini bus full of your co-zombie hunters!!! So nothing but a good family fun and scares 😱 at Brimstone Haunt!! Wait I'm not done yet... The Midway is full of things to do as well!!! You can always visit the concession stands where you can have yourself some yummy Chilli, and hot dogs, to hit apple cider ( my personal favorite ) 😍 and Hot chocolate!! For the adults, they can find a great selection of adult beverages!!! (DISCLAIMER) ( PLEASE BE RESPONSIBLE AND PLEASE DONT DRINK AND DRIVE ) And you can warm up between food and fun by the very warm Bon Fire, also watch out for scratch! He's always lurking near, waiting for the next victims for a photo Op!! Scratch is the mascot and leading spook of Brimstone Haunt!!! Last but by far the most important part of the whole Brimstone Haunt operation is the ( STAFF ) They are super amazing at what they do, but above all they are super amazing people ❤️, so stop take the time to say hi, and let them know how much you enjoyed their creation!! AKA Brimestone Haunt!! Two other honorable mentions that I must not for get is the parking staff who quickly, safely, and very proficiently get you parked and inside to enjoy your night, and to all the amazing actors who make the trip out to Brimstone Haunt worth all the while and scare 😱 us to the depths our bones!!! If I could rate this Haunt beyond a 5 star 🌟 it for sure would reach a 💯 stars 🌟.. Thank you Brimstone Haunt for an amazing night!!!! 👏 The...
Read moreThis is worth every penny! I attended Friday evening with my sister. It was our first visit. We purchased online tickets for the 'Forgotten Forest'. The online ticket process is quick and easy! Parking was great. There were people guiding the cars, and there was no extra charge for parking. Upon entering, the mood is set by two large, creepy towers. There was music playing, fire pits burning and people strolling about. We first visited the concession area and purchased adult beverages. The prices were very reasonable. $5.00 for a beer. Not bad. They sell these really cool koozies! We bought some for a souvenir. We got into the line for the 'Forgotten Forest". While waiting...which didn't take more than 15 to 20 minutes, there were several characters roaming around. They sure added to the mood. Michael Jackson's "Thriller" began to play and one of the characters, with and awesome Pumpkin head, danced. He was wicked good. It was a lot of fun watching him...and he even posed for photos!
Then it was finally our turn to enter the forest. You go in small groups. I will not give away any of the information about the experience so as to not be a spoiler. All I can say is WOW! I was highly impressed with the attention to detail and with the sets. I felt like I was going through a movie set. It was SO COOL! The scares were awesome. I can't tell you how many times I jumped and screamed...and that's what it's all about. I would like to make a shout-out to two characters in particular: To the surgical doctor who looked at me with her creepy eyes and then proceeded to dine on her patient.....AWESOME! And to the young man--the dead high school student----you were so much fun! I got a kick out of the way you kept asking my sister to go to prom with you!
It is clear everyone puts in so much time and effort into making all of this happen. You should all be very proud! I can't wait until next year! And, we've already decided we are going to do the combo experience next year!
Finally, visit the Merch building. The prices are pretty reasonable. They have they super cool hoodies. I bought one and will be wearing it for a long time!
Thank you again everyone for a...
Read moreHayride is...for lack of a better word pretty lame..lots of empty space and I think there were maybe a dozen actors total throughout the entire ride. It also is a weavy path through a corn field so you can see most of it as you go through the whole ride. They used a lot of vehicles that would get up close to the ride and then kinda back off, didnt really seem to have much of an effect on anyone. Half the actors that got on the ride just kind of walked back and forth silently, kinda strange. The trail was a bit better, still skimpy on live people and of course after about 8 min of walking through we caught up with another group and tried slowing but then the group behind us caught up too so there was then about 20 people walking through in a big cluster so it seemed like all the actors were coming back and just standing there. Overall the whole experience was fun but the scare factor was probably below average. Would recommend Wilmington haunted hallow over this if you want a really good ride experience and just a bit further away but this is good for people who want something more "mild."
Edit for 2020 year
Came back hoping for some improvements from when we came 2 years ago and options are limited for distance, COVID, etc.
Have to say I was disappointed in the thrill factor...
There's still a severe lack of actors in two highest attractions (hayride and forest). Probably periods of 3-5 min in the ride with 0 people... Dont know if there were callouts or just haven't improved, pretty disappointed as a lot of reviews here say the same thing and you'd think they'd take note.
Employees are very accommodating, didn't want to get on a crowded wagon and were allowed to just skip and wait for the next ride, that was great. Also for the forest there were obnoxious groups ahead who we didn't want to be grouped with and they allowed us to wait for a smaller group. Hats off for that, as I know they are incredibly busy and some places would just force you to be in a giant group.
Overall, I think this will be our last stop for Brimstone, might be better off or more friendly for families with small kids as everything was...
