Britney has done my hair twice. The first appointment I drove 6 hours to receive faux locs. My appointment was scheduled for 8am and she didn't show up until after 10:30am with Starbucks in her hand. After showing up late she stated she was going to eat her breakfast first and then start on my hair. I had to wait an additional 30 minutes for her to even get started. I assumed she was having an "off" day and I gave her the benefit of a doubt so I booked her again this time for permanent Charm minis. My 2nd appointment was scheduled for 7am on Feb 26th, I received a text at 9:40pm on Feb 25th (2 hours before my flight) stating she had to rebook my appointment because she was sick. Later that night as I was scrolling on Instagram, she posted pics of herself turning up at some lounge. Fast forward to my rebooked appointment June at 7am, I received a text at 6:15am asking if I could rebook. I let her know I just landed and was 20 minutes away. She then asked if I could come at 9am. I’ve had my permanent locs for some time now (2ish years). I actually really like them however now that I’ve had time with them I want to also speak to some lack of professionalism at the time of service. We started hours later but I committed to it because I am not local to the area. The other thing as my hair grows I’ve removed about 20 locs so that the thickness of the extensions matches my new growth thickness at the time of retwist. I had around 140 and now I have 118. In these two years I’ve only seen slippage twice. I’ve colored the locs three times with no problems. I find the quality of work to be good and the quality of the hair. But I do think there could be more of a proactive approach to match hair density/thickness so when the hair does grow it matches and then of course being considerate of clients time. I recommend palm roll over interlock as well for anything above the smallest size. Do I recommend her, yes. Do I also recommend level setting your time expectations. Other than that...
