A Pinball Paradise: Sparks Pinball Museum is a Must-Visit!
If you love pinball, Sparks Pinball Museum in Chesterfield, Michigan, is an absolute gem! I've been a regular here for years, and every visit feels like a trip back in time through the wonderful world of pinball. This isn't just a museum where you gaze at vintage machines from a distance; every game is playable! From the earliest pinball machines to the most modern, the collection spans the entire history of the game, and it's all in pristine condition.
Michael, the passionate and dedicated owner, clearly puts his heart and soul into every aspect of Sparks. His love for pinball is evident in the way he maintains these machines—they're clean, well-cared-for, and absolutely beautiful. Honestly, Michael is just as splendid as his games. It’s rare to find someone who pours so much love into what they do, and it shows in every detail of the experience at Sparks.
The atmosphere is perfect for a fun outing with friends. Sparks shares a building with a bowling alley, so if you’re looking for even more entertainment, you can easily switch between a game of pinball and knocking down some pins. The adjoining bar serves up classic bar food and drinks, making it the perfect place to kick back and have a great time. Good times, good friends, and fantastic games—that’s what Sparks is all about!
Sparks Pinball Museum is one of my favorite places in the world, a true haven for pinball lovers, and a place that radiates passion and joy. I can't...
Read moreGames that work are super fun but there are more games that are broken then not, Twilight Zones flippers are out of sinc and someone added a rubber bit by the lock so it's impossible to shoot, balls on the Addams Family always go straight down the middle, I counted 6 machines with flippers that got stuck upwards. Theatre of Magic and Monster Bash were amazing, but the rest were either broken or about to break, I loved this place back in July 2022 and I begged to come back, but when I did, mostly every single machine had at least one issue, if you're looking for a pinball place, Crazy Quarters Arcade has a lot better machines. I'm sorry, I loved this place, you just have to at least have working machines to be a pinball museum. Response: Someone must have added a rubber post in transit or in handling then the giant dark blue rubber post isn't there in the promo video or the poster for the machine also, the game needs to be adjusted as the ball is much slower than any gameplay I can find, including the promo. Also, a lot of the playfields are starting to show bare wood such as Earthshaker and Addams Family, both probably need a...
Read moreThis is not a pinball only location. This is inside of a bowling alley.
After reviewing the website, I was very excited to visit this location. However when I arrived there was NO signage or reference to the pinball arcade. I was initially confused because nothing says this is inside of a bowling alley.
When i got inside you have to go through the bowling alley to get to the pinball machines. There was a nice variety but 90% of the machines were blocked by people playing billiards, crowding, and/or out of order or off machines. The machines are play per machine which was fine but the change machines were broken. I had to put money into the soda vending machine to get quarters.
This is a cool bowling alley but when your showing up exclusively being advertised as a pinball arcade only, it's a bit falsely advertised which was very...
