For a small town, small sized grocery store, the own has hit the mark on product selection, stocking, and pricing. After the change of hands and reopening in August of 2019, this store has far exceeded my expectations and needs for groceries. Trips to Walmart in Rice Lake & Ladysmith have all but ended as KJ's removes the need and desire. I've found Covid limited items at KJ's that I couldn't find in Walmart. Ad sales are not just "bait and switch", limited to s minimum of items, or a means of luring shoppers in, but provide legitimate money saving opportunities daily. Aisle shelves are well stocked; fresh produce, dairy, and meats are priced for buying. Great Store! Highly recommend! Definitely a better choice than driving to Rice Lake...
Read moreWe have bought multiple products from this store that has been expired. From cheese dips, sauces, dressings. The last product I bought was by Egglife, egg white wraps. Bad enough they over jack the prices by double as any other store. I can buy those for 3.99 anywhere else and they charge 7.99. Brought them home, yup expired by a month! Shows how much the staff appreciates their products and customers. Ridiculous. Being a local and now having to drive at least 20 minutes to an hour to get any good groceries really sucks. Read moreChetek has a wonderful store however the prices are unbelievably high. If shopping sales you may do ok. Saw a quart of whipping cream for over $8!!! Paid $1.99 a pound for sweet potatoes only to see them in Kwik Trip for .39 cents a pound!!! Even with gas prices high I can drive to Rice Lake and shop cheaper. Having a grocery store in town is a great convenience but not if they price themselves out...
