Edgewood Bakeshop — Restaurant in Chetek

This place is an absolute GEM - it feels like a pastry shop in Paris appeared in Chetek! Every time we go, there are new seasonal flavors and inventive items. They use locally produced products whenever possible. Their passion for flavor, creativity and absolutely perfect execution of challenging baked goods like croissants is honestly better than any I've had anywhere else in the world - France included! This is an absolutely must-visit place - like seriously worth planning a day trip from the Twin Cities around - and the rest of downtown Chetek is super cute with several shops, a candy store, friendly (and family-friendly) bars, and a cafe. I'm just amazed - but so thankful, LOL - that Edgewood opened its doors! (PS There is also an artisan ice cream "shop" in the bakery as well, sharing the space - plan on having ice cream for breakfast LOL because their locally produced sweet cream ice cream with seasonal flavors (and try the lemon poppyseed if they have it!) are so amazing....

What a wonderful addition to Chetek!!! Only open on Friday and Saturday. The earlier the better when arriving too, you don’t want to miss out on any of the options. Each day they make a fresh set of pastries and other delectables. Some items I have seen multiple times and some only once.

So far pretty much everything has been on point. However I strongly encourage you to get the almond croissants. Something about them just hits on all points.

Be prepared for $4-6 per item, but know it is fully worth every bite.

I cannot express how thrilled I am to have a top notch bakery for our weekends in Chetek!! My in-laws are in Chetek and we are in the twin cities— and I’ve already had treats from Edgewood 3 times since they opened! Swung by this morning to grab a variety of items. Sourdough cinnamon rolls, almond croissant, cruffins and savory scones have been the winners for our family.
