Joe’s B&B Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Chetek

I took my 68 year old mother and my 90 year old grandmother to Lake Chetek, Wisconsin this year for our family vacation. We ended up staying at Morningside Resorts right outside of town because it had no stairs and all flat ground so my grandma could walk to and from the Pontoon boat. We had a great week and on the last night, I wanted to pack everything up so we could just wake up and leave since checkout was 8:00am. I decided that we weren't going to cook anything, so we didn't have to do dishes before we left either, which was a good move. Well that meant going out to eat, we ate like kings and queens during the week and I wasn't going to settle for anything less. We decided on pizza, cuz you can't go won't with pizza right, well usually anyways lol. I talked with a few regulars at our resort and they recommended only 2 places, this place and one other which I won't name. So anyways we got dressed and went there to check it out, turns out it is a bar and grill, 2 words that go very well with each other I might add. We were able to go in the side door which has no stairs, it's ground level which was perfect for Grandma, we walked in they told us to sit wherever so we did. Super nice and courteous people, the pizza was a thin crust that you actually wanted to eat because it was so crispy and good. I was very surprised at how nice the inside was but the food was Fantabulous and I mean all of it, down to the fried cheese curds and cauliflower, salad and the fresh ingredients on the pizza. Next year when we come again we most definitely will be coming back. Thank you for such a great dinner and for being so Johnny on the spot with our food, it came out with a quickness that's for sure. Everyone enjoyed the dinner, not to mention the leftovers later that night for the ol late night snack, so to speak. Nothing was left over for the morning, so it was a quick getaway when we woke up and were able to leave around 7:00am a hour before our checkout time. Great vacation spot for sure and plenty of places to choose from for whatever your hunger needs feel like eating. We chose pizza and this place was the right place for it, next time we might try out the not named restaurant, only for comparison. Just because with pizza you just never know, although this place will be hard to beat!!...

We went in over the 4th of July weekend because we saw they had gluten free pizza. We ordered 2 gluten free pizzas, the taco pizza without black olives. When the pizzas came out, they looked like other pizzas we were seeing, so we double checked to see if they were truly gluten free. The response from the waitress was “if you ordered gluten free, then it’s gluten free.” It was DEFINITELY NOT gluten free as two of us had severe tummy trouble immediately after. The pizza without the black olives apparently came out with black olives on it so the waitress stopped it and had them remake it, according to her. But the “second” pizza we got had an entire plate of olives. We mentioned there were black olives and eh waitress said “no there’s not” and asked to see them. Pizzas were floppy and soggy, not...

Good selection of burgers, great food overall. They even deliver which is awesome considering no one else does in Chetek. I've never had their pizza but I also heard good things about it. All but two of the staff members are absolute angels and always greet with a smile and are happy to serve. The other two are enough for me to not return. It's too bad one off the sassy, bad attitude waitresses had a problem with my political views(which are not extreme) and felt the need to start and argument with me and my father.
