Magnolia Gift & Garden — Local services in Chico

This is a friendly, lovely, locally owned nursery with lots of native California plants, seasonal vegetable starts, flowers, trees, and artfully designed and beautifully crafted pots, as well as a huge seed selection in their gift shop, ALL things that I do not see at the big box nurseries. Make it your first stop when you are planning your landscaping.

Of note, they have some very creative use of succulents and cactus mixed with other organic materials that are absolutely lovely, especially if you want to find an already-crafted succulent plant gift to someone special. I should have thought to take more pictures, but this little table really caught my attention, and only then that I saw the gift items noted above.

Though I did not purchase anything today, the woman at the cash register was extremely helpful and looked up information regarding a particular flowering cactus to help me troubleshoot the non-blooming cactus I have at home. She was really great, and I was fortunate that there were not other customers waiting in line and before or after me. They definitely deserve all five...

We loved coming here for the first time! We just moved to Chico from Berkeley and it's better than the garden stores there. They are dog friendly, and have so many cool items!! They have a huge selection of plants and succulents. I bought these adorable mini ceramic pots that have legs for only $3 a piece!now What a steal! They also have a coffee bus where you can sit outside with coffee in their garden. A must-see if you love...
