Sawyer Antique Mall — Local services in Chikaming Township

I’ve been living in this area for years and I have always loved finding hidden treasures in this mall. I have found a unique tray with Mr. Rogers on it, a poster with Marilyn Monroe for my wall, random glasses and cups for my kitchen, and many more on my trips there to keep my lifestyle eccentric and vintage. To people that believe making condescending reviews based on an adolescence post from a different social media platform with an underdeveloped understanding of how businesses are run and operated lacks respect. I worked for a summer there a few years ago and I will always come back, if it wasn’t for being a local and knowing the customers and employees there myself. The owner of the Sawyer Antique Mall was not going to honor the price of 2 marked end tables! He raised the price and then argued with me that he did not care and said they were missed marked! They were tagged and on one was a lower price and said "As Is". For a cheaper price. I would understand paying what was on the tags which we gladly would have until he wanted to charge more. The other 2 employees apologized for the owners actions and his words and said he was absolutely wrong. We walked out and spent our money at a different business. Upon review of the treatment of a young man who entered the store with a mystery gift in exchange for a 6 dollar item, I have concluded that this establishment does not value the relationship with its current and future customers. The mystery gift contained $5000 cash, and because he said “instead of cash” he was treated as though he committed a crime when he was denied and revealed there was cash within the box.
