Dollar General — Local services in Chillicothe

This is a brand new store filled to the rafters with mechandise. Sadly, not enough workers. The 2 times we stopped here recently there are boxes and boxes in stock carts/racks waiting everywhere (not an exaggeration) in to be put on shelves. All of the floors were dirty with bits and pieces of trash in the corners. The parking lot already looks unkempt with weeds growing unchecked around it. And this is on the main street driving through town. The town of Chillicothe, IL was thrilled with the construction of a new bigger, better Dollar General but it seems as if we are still waiting. Hire more staff and get more people who care in your brand new...

I thought since they moved it would be better since it's a bigger location but no, it's so unorganized there are always carts sitting around blocking shelves, cashiers are usually not at the register and several times employees have seen customers at the check out and they continue their conversations with each other while customers wait and the line gets backed up. No point in going here, family dollar is right across the street well stocked with mostly the same things is organized and has employees who don't act like it's a inconvenience to come to the counter...

Rude lady working refused to help me find an item it showed there were 20+ between multiple brands and just kept saying “it’s out of stock” because she was too lazy to help. Never even looked for it and walked away from me while I was talking trying to show her it was saying there were MANY actually in stock. Old lady with white hair needs to relearn customer service if she’s going to work with people. This is why Chillicothe businesses are failing,...
