I live in chilton. I enjoy going to the calumet county fair each year i have lived here but however this year I thought the prices sky rocketed. It's about 22$ for 12 tickets, the rides are 3-4 tickets each. So between 2 kids that goes rather fast. There's a large selection of livestock to see, cows, horses, chickens etc. However be aware when you purchase a 15$ ticket to go for 2 days the lady at the entrance told my husband and i to stop by when exiting the fair to get my pass for the next day however when exiting she said she already gave us our pass.. I thought that was a bunch of bogus and wish I would have talked to someone else at the time. She ended up giving the pass we paid for but had a bad attitude about it.    Read moreThe community that's here is HORRIBLE. Made a special trip to see this fair and the people were RUDE and unbearable. The way they treat the carnival employees is absolutely uncalled for.
They expect things for free, but then get on Facebook and cry about the economy. They complain about toy guns at the fair, but share every post celebrating the 2nd amendment.
The same people complaining about the prices for games, are the same people who spend $10+ on a pitcher of beer, but can't be bothered to spend any money on their kids. They're literally going to piss away that beer. At least your kids can keep the prize and enjoy it. Figure out your priorities before...
   Read moreIt's was ok.. accept now there are no wrist bands on certain days which I remember as a child and getting wrist bands everyday. But i guess things change. You also have to pay for the wrist band for drinking and then buy the beer. So thats a waste of money. Kids liked the animals so thats a plus.
