Winola J & Co. Boutique — Local services in China Grove

I was really disappointed with my visit to this store. Unfortunately, it is not size inclusive, there was only one shirt above a size large and one pair of shorts above a size 12. While that might be more understandable in larger cities with more shopping options, it’s especially frustrating in a small town like China Grove, where this is the only boutique offering semi-stylish clothing for women. By not carrying plus sizes, they’re doing a real disservice to the community and excluding a significant group of potential customers.

Beyond the sizing issue, the shopping experience itself was not enjoyable. I liked some of the bags and jewelry, but I left without buying anything because I felt overwhelmed by how often I was approached, 6 times in under ten minutes. It didn’t feel welcoming; it felt pushy. The blonde-haired employee is friendly without hovering but the owner and another staff member made the visit uncomfortable with constant questioning.

In short: limited sizes, poor selection, and a frustrating atmosphere. I really hope they reconsider their approach, both in terms of inventory and how they interact with shoppers. China Grove deserves better. I would spend a lot of money there if they offered clothing...

I was in there Saturday for Farmer's day. I had two T-shirts that I had gotten from one of the vendors. I didn't see anything I liked so when I was leaving I asked the lady if she happened to have a bag they can put those t-shirts in and she looked at me and said they didn't have any so I looked at her and said so in other words you have to buy something to get a bag. This was a cute boutique, but unfortunately they close a bit early on Saturday so we didnt have much time to look around! It was nicely set up! They did have a wide selection of accessories and clothing. They had 40% select clothes when we went! I noticed some of their shirts go up to a 2X, which is nice!
