The Food:
Hands down the best and most authentic Thai food my wife and friends and I have had in a very long time. We are extremely critical about authentic Asian food and these guys are giving you a real taste of their homeland. The atmosphere is cozy and they have television on the wall showing video of how things work in Thailand; you can watch chefs prepare dishes and see a little glimpse into their lives, and it's amazing to watch the street food vendors in action. You are seeing masters who have honed their skills for years and decades which produces the incredible speeds at which they work. You can try literally anything on this menu and it will be so incredible. There is not one item we dislike and we have tried a large selection of dishes already, but their menu is huge!
Ordering Process:
You need to have the ability to scan a QR code with your phone when you are seated. It will track your table and link with Toast where you will pay. You can browse the menu on your phone and you will be waited on. Show them what it is you want to order, and as they take your order they will enter it into their system, and your phone will update with what you have ordered and the cost, and you can then click on it to pay, etc. Just be patient when you are seated and don't be too confused, you simply browse the menu on your phone at first and show them what you want when they come to take your order. There were some incredibly rude customers and I don't blame Thai Tair at all, but the customers were so mean to the waiter and staff and could not even be patient enough for one minute to get waited on simply because they didn't understand the ordering process, the language barriers, and technology used to help with that. This is a different culture and process that the rest of the world is using, please be open minded and realize that you are coming to experience what they have to offer, they are not there to accommodate and Americanize everything just for you, it's an authentic Thai experience and everyone should realize how lucky they are to have this food available in China Grove,...
Read moreI would give 10 stars if possible. This was our first time here and beyond impressed! The menu has so much to choose from so we ordered several different dishes just to try a variety in hopes we would find something that "wowed" us. Well to our surprise, every dish we got did just that! No exaggeration, the food was amazing from the soup, to the orange chicken, red curry and the pho. Its a true hidden gem and the owner Mimi was so nice and took the time to explain the menu, amswered all our questions and just a genuinely nice person. Its a family business; we met Mimis sister who works there with her who is just as nice and took the time to meet us and had conversation so unlike many other businesses you go to now days where you're just a customer amd a number. It wasnt like that at All here. Mimi explained her parents work in the kitchen making all the food fresh every day even cutting fresh vegetables never using anything frozen, and you can taste the difference. I could go on and on about what a great dining experience it was, but I would highly reccomend you give them a try, you will be glad you did. Its in a quiet location, you dont have to fight traffic on 85 or concord mills, or risk your safety driving to charlotte just for a good meal! This is going to be my new regular spot and I. Already looking forward to taking friends and family to try it also. Last but NOT least, their sanatation grade is a 99!! This is the first thing I look at when going in a restaurant. The place is clean, updated, comfortable, quaint a.d plays great music to add to the ambiance. Just GO! I'll likely be in at least once a week and intend to befriend the owner and her family since they are just that kind of "real" people. GREAT job Mimi and crew! See you next time. Red Curry was my...
Read moreDecided to take a chance & try this place for the first time today & I'm so glad I did! I placed an online order for red curry, garlic chicken box & crab rangoon. Online ordering was easy as the majority of the dishes had descriptions & photos, which was helpful since I am not familiar with Thai cuisine. My order was ready for pickup before the estimated time. The restaurant is small with several tables & a bar. The place was clean with minimal, but attractive, decor. I arrived less than 10 minutes after opening & all but one table was already full. I cannot fully attest to the service since I did not dine-in, but the gentleman who brought my order out was polite & quick. I wasn't sure what my expectations were but the food definitely exceeded them! Not only was it aesthetically pleasing, but tasted great as well. The curry was spicy enough to clear my stuffy nose, but not so much that it overpowered the dish. All of the vegetables were fresh & crisp. The fried items that came in my garlic chicken box were crispy and hot, even after a 15-minute drive home. The crab rangoons were also crispy & delicious! I was pleasantly surprised by this little hole-in-the wall & am excited to return & sample other delicious dishes they...
