I had a rather unpleasant but cordial interaction about a year or more ago with the owner over Discord about refusing a return. I wanted to return a metal filer I had briefly used to test out but was dissatisfied with. I was very displeased about not being able to return the $10, overpriced item to which I negatively responded by saying I would be able to return such things if I had made my purchase at Hobby Lobby. Fed up with the matter, I left the private store Discord having made up my mind not to give them my business. Imagine my surprise much later when I attended a new location, not knowing it was owned by the same people that I interacted with. An employee asked me to leave the store with angry fervor and said I was banned for that interaction, to which they painted me in a far more negative light. Needless to say, you'll find man-children running their business. I find most LGS's of this breed have the same sort of toxic, weaponized victim mentality they abuse with reckless abandon. My crime was showing the least bit of disdain for not being able to return an item. I moved on instantly. More than a year later, they have not. Even if I wasn't banned, I wouldn't't frequent such an...
Read moreHammerhead is a mixed bag for mtg players. First the good stuff, awesome play space and a great collection of cards. Seriously, looking through their case is an experience on its own. Moving on, every time I go in there I feel like I’m bothering the staff. They’ll say welcome in and look down at whatever they’re doing. Most other shops I’ve been to I feel like as a customer there I’m the top priority; here it’s like they’re waiting for everyone else to take the customer before they have to. It seems like they dread pulling cards or helping people. Speaking of cards- the $1 minimum on each card is stiff. Even for commons and uncommons. Also they’re preferred way of receiving lists is by color and they expect you to do that work; the easiest way is to send them a list via discord which is a godsend; but they don’t like pulling cards so I’ve seen people go days without a response (oh we’re super busy today). If you don’t pull lists and don’t help people when they come in why have a brick and mortar is all I’m saying. They’re nice enough but this won’t be the first store I...
Read moreSo my lady and I have been trying to find a good shop to go to for a while now. We have tried a few places and to be honest. Not a fan of most but thats just my opinion. My lady mentioned this shop to me a while ago because she ate at the restaurant right next to it once or twice and finally we had a free night and decided to go check it out and to be honest. I'm so glad we did. We've been going for over a month now and I can say I am not disappointed. For 1 it's huge!!! Lol. So many tables for play and so many different people playing different games. It just feels like such a welcoming environment for all ages anyone and every one. It is such an amazing place. The employee's are super helpful, they do their best to give the upmost service and help in any way they can. They are friendly, happy to help and go above and beyond. They have a great selection of different card games/board games. This will be our go to shop indefinitely lol. Please come and check them out. You will...
