Arcade Creek Park is a hidden gem nestled in a very pleasant residential area off of Hackberry between Winding Way and Madison. I stumbled upon this wonderful spot while riding around Carmichael on my bicycle. I've lived within a couple miles of the park for over a decade, but I didn't know it existed until recently. Surprisingly uncrowded, the grounds are quiet and clean. It's equipped with courts for both basketball and tennis. However, the best feature of this lovely place is the dog park. There are two fenced-off areas, one for small dogs and another for larger breeds to run and play in. I've been back many times with my beautiful American Staffordshire Terrier "Savvy" who gives the park two enthusiastic paws up.

I walked to Arcade Creek Park, a neighborhood park, while visiting family in Sacramento for Easter, for the first time. It was quite a pleasant experience. The park has the typical amenities such as swings, slides, sandboxes to entertain children. There were several areas with picnic tables. There is a creek running along the west side. There is an abundance of small animals and birds inhabiting the park and creek. I saw squirrels, wild turkeys that can fly, and numerous other birds. The park has a cemented walking path around the perimeter of the park. The park also has a fenced area where your dogs can be taken off their leash.

Nice park EXCEPT the swings are dangerous because of the hard, raised areas below them. I'm not sure if the intent is to keep big kids/adults off (if so they should post a sign) but even a young child could hurt themselves if they catch their foot. If you let your kids use these swings, make sure you have a good personal injury attorney. UPDATE!! They have FINALLY fixed these issue. Not sure why it took so long but at least the swings are safe now.

Small no leash dog park one for the little dogs one for the big dogs. But they are each very small. There's a nice brand new looking , brick ship house, and an older one. And wouldn't you know it? Neither one of them work! Yeah it's been without a bathroom on any kind including a porta potty for over 3 years! yeah the lady who runs that place, must, pocket all the money she saves, from, not having a porta potty there for 3 years! I didn't see any smell any or step in any, but that doesn't mean it's not there! (Ped-er b ware) It's a really cute Park with water ducks with water ducks squirrels turkeys, and obvious members of your LBGTQ community.(NO HUNTING!) ANY TIME! PARK OPENS AT SUNRISE AND CLOSES AT SUNSET AND IT'S CLOSED ON ALL...

Peaceful retreat near the native creek areas. Great walking trails! Update September 2023, sadly they have stopped maintaining and mowing this park. Foxtail everywhere! Sadly the park is becoming a Homeless haven. Picnic tables are now taken by overnight campers as well as a Homeless Camp just over Arcade Creek near Garfield. Time to find a new place for walking. As of Labor Day Weekend the homeless guy that lives at the first picknick area near the parking lot is still there. He has at least 3 dogs that run untheathered all day and night! An overnight camper had started a fire behind the SMUD station and burned up about a 150 square feet. Trash is everywhere, even though I have noticed others as well as myself trying to...
