Born & Raised in Hornell, & as a kid, if our family nights didn’t consist of going to Home Video to rent a VHS, buy 10 gum-balls & run down the little ramps, we were watching a movie at our local theater to support Local Businesses. I had my first “real date” there in 5th grade. The local theater created some of my favorite memories of laughing with my family & friends. It wasn’t in the best shape; the seats were torn up, people disrespected the Hell out of that place, making a sticky, nasty mess on the Floors they covered in garbage, popcorn & spilled pop, but it was still a fun place. We had a sadness fall upon us when we thought the Hornell Cinema was going out of Business. When we learned that the owners had sold, I was devastated! We were thrilled when the Theater reopened; And, the owners did a great job fixing the place up! I want to keep this theater in our Hometown. It’s a local legend for those who support ALL “SMALL”, Local Businesses in (& around) Hornell who work very hard, contribute to our society & whose Businesses KEEP THIS TOWN GOING. We want to see LESS Corporations, Franchises & Box-Stores & more Family-Owned Businesses who care about our Communities & their Customers. The best way to keep this wonderful theater going is to support them, from the Retailers of all sorts, Services, & Restaurants to the last small bit of entertainment we have! Highly recommend...
Read morenow i will begin this by saying that the theatre was clean, had great sound, as well visuals. this sunday i cane to the theatre for the first time since it has changed ownership. i attempt to ask the girl working the register if the theatre was overly full, granted my voice was a little raspy at the time ive been sick, she started snickering to the other girl in the back and constantly just telling me she cant hear me, then when she finally hears the question she just sarcastically says "well yeah its a good movie" meanwhile the owner is just standing by rather than stepping in and handling the situation. the girls there were barely of age to be working there and he doesnt seem to have any stern leadership over them. it was disapointing. needs to teach them professionalism or hire someone who can habdle the job with...
Read moreSecond time now we've come for a free to be me movie, they advertise as free for autistic kids and yet we keep getting turned away every time. Sickening the way they use autism just to get more ticket sales. We have been turned away, it doesn't advertise as you say, and yes you are profiting off of other people problems. You mean to tell me my child isnt free time be herself any other time we come to watch a movie? Or is that when we'd get removed and told to come back on free to be me days. Your posts are misleading and lack information. You choose to profit off people with autistic kids when not a damn thing is special or different on those days. Keep...
