I just ran in the store to return a shirt, quickly. I walked in the door and immediately turned to the left to look and see if there was anyone waiting in line asnd there was not. So, I asked the csr at register #6 if I could return an item. She told me I would have to get in line. I looked down to where the line forms and there was no one there. I told her that I didn't see anyone there and she replied, yes, there's someone there. Again, I told her that I didn't see anyone there. Again, she said, yes there is. By this time, I realized that she simply didn't like that I came in the door and didn't walk through the maze to get to the registers! The person that she was referring to that, 'was in line', was not standing there waiting to be called by the next available cashier, she was slowly making her way through the maze browsing as she went. So, rather than calling the csr out on it, I simply walked down the isle and just as I reached the end, the person who had been browsing in the other maze isle came around the corner just as I passed her to, 'get behind her,' in line. I then returned my item with another cashier and walked out and passed right behind the cashier, who obviously wanted me to walk through the maze, while she was cashing out the supposed person who was waiting in line, only, she clearly was not! I should have called her out on it because...
Read moreOverall I like that we have a local T.J. Maxx. Customer service and employees have always been great. They have a lot of unique items besides clothing that may be of interest as well. I leave out the 1 star because of the lack of variety in mens clothing. You can clearly see they favorite the female variety. The female clothing section takes up about half of the whole store and the purse section is just as big as the mens clothing section! I'm not even joking. They cater to "trendy" brands that only teenagers and very young adults would prefer. Years ago I could go in there and be able to find a decent amount of clothing that I would wear. The past couple of years has not been the same. It's difficult to go in there and find a shirt that does not have some weird or obnoxious logo or graphic on it. What happened to the awesome variety of Nike, Reebok, Adidas & Under Armour shirts? I hope they go back to how they used to be with stocking more casual styles and athletic brand...
Read moreAlways a clean environment, I'm never surprised the ratio of men to women, being that it's a clothing store, but we did have one issue upon check out. The male cashier tripple scanned our items that ran the total to over 100$ for a few parts of leggings and a sweatshirts. Perhaps it was his unkempt hair that he was constantly brushing out of his face that caused this error. Either way he looked depressed and unset to be doing this at all. The rest of the ladies have always been enjoyable to speak with, he was not. After realizing the mistake we came back in and spoke to someone about it. They apologized and said they'd speak to him. He's not new. I've seen him...
