I visited this store recently for a casual Commander Night for Magic: The Gathering and I was blown away by what a good time I had.
From the first phone call I made to the store to ask about the event, the owner, Anthony was kind and welcoming and gave me all of the information I needed. When I arrived, he gave me a quick tour of the store himself and made himself fully available for any questions or help I needed.
The crowd that showed up was also welcoming to new people, and the game I played there was great.
This is a place where it is obvious that the owner is incredibly passionate and loving about the stuff they're selling. Anthony was knowledgeable, patient, and willing to help everyone that walked into the store that night. I also overheard that he has a program with a certain board game where he donates copies to local schools for each copy he sells.
All in all, this is a VERY quality establishment. It's clean, safe, well-stocked, and it's welcoming to newcomers. This place is entirely worth your time and business. I'll absolutely be making the trip up here again when I...
Read moreHave visited this store on two occurrences. The owner is unwelcoming, unprofessional and demonstrates lack of business etiquette. On first encounter I requested to purchase trading cards. He recommended to set a time period to come in which was suppose to schedule by schedule. Which were left unresponsive.
Repeat visit later to coordinate purchase I was welcomed with “your money is not good here” with seemingly indirect racial implications. I promptly left owners store avoiding any altercation as it seemed like an unsafe environment. I would NEVER visit or recommend this location to anyone. Owner should be ashamed and held accountable for his actions. Others seem to have similar experiences with this establishment.
Multiple other welcoming and community involved establishment present in Plattsburgh! Avoid this one at all costs!!!!!! AVOID. I WOULD GIVE THIS A ZERO STAR IF THAT...
Read moreI was told to leave because of the owner's personal rule that wasn't mentioned anywhere on their website or facebook that I could find. The rule was about having proxies in my casual edh deck, which I asked an employee about last week and was told they had no issues with my using proxies and neither did anyone I played against when I asked them about it and there were other people playing with proxies as well. I wouldn't have an issue with that rule if I had anyway of finding out before driving two hours to the store. Otherwise it's a great place, the owner is super friendly, he has a great selection of board games and ttrpg supplies that...
