I tried for two months to buy a set of chairs. I messaged via Marketplace. I phoned and left a message. I emailed. I got a response about three weeks after my initial Marketplace message agreeing to a price. I followed up and got no further correspondence, which is when I called and emailed. I now see the chairs have sold. I can't imagine how or why this may have happened. If you're going to sell on Marketplace, you need to be prepared to follow through with messages. A private seller, fine. But an actual business?

**Edit in response: The original post did not say anything about not messaging on fbmp and did not provide an alternate form of contact. It was changed some time after a price was agreed to, and the weekend was suggested regarding pickup. I suggested the weekend however, I never received a follow-up text to warrant a more detailed plan for pickup. It was only much later, when I revisted the posting, that I became aware of a phone number. You also have failed to explain why I wasn't replied to either by phone, text, or email. And to suggest that the owner and a private seller are two different things is rather hilarious. You reneged on an agreed price and ghosted me. It's not rocket science. You'd have been smarter to just bite the bullet. Instead, you waste an hour tracking messages, dates, and writing your responses. Eliza has a keen eye for incredible pieces at reasonable prices. We purchased three pieces from her! A lovely chair, a vintage Danish dining table and much needed dresser.

Her delivery guys are professional and in some cases magicians (getting our massive dresser up our narrow staircase was a quite the feat).

Please note for local deliveries the fee is around $150 and they don’t offer pick ups on Saturdays/Sundays.

Was so happy I checked out midcentury585! It was easy to schedule a time to see their inventory and Eliza was really prompt in getting back to me on all my questions. I’ve been searching for the right dresser for a long time and wound up with three beautifully refinished pieces.
