đŽđ Boss Fights and Bites Review â Wegmans (East Ave, Rochester NY) đđŽ
âWelcome back to Boss Fights and Bites â where we take on the battles of flavor one bite at a time! Today weâre checking out the Wegmans on East Avenue right here in Rochester, NY.
Now Wegmans already has a legendary reputation, but this East Ave spot has its own unique feel. Walking in, you instantly notice how fresh and clean the store is. The produce section? Always stacked. The bakery? Dangerous â you walk by and instantly start rethinking your diet. And letâs not forget the prepared foods section. From hot meals to pizza to Meals2GO, you could literally have dinner ready before you even hit the checkout line.
The staff here? Super friendly and helpful. Whether itâs grabbing flowers, finding a product, or pointing you to your favorite snacks, theyâve got you covered. Thatâs part of what makes Wegmans stand outâthey treat customers right.
Now, Iâve got to keep it real: this location is a bit smaller compared to some of the other Wegmans in town. The aisles can feel tight and crowded during busy hours, and you might not find quite the same massive selection youâd see at the bigger stores. But honestly? For quick trips, lunch breaks, or just stocking up for the week, this store gets the job done every single time.
So hereâs my verdict: Wegmans East Ave is a solid win. Clean, friendly, packed with quality food, and convenient when you need it. It may not be the biggest boss battle in the Wegmans lineup, but itâs definitely one worth stopping in for.
Thatâs my take â now I want to hear from you. Have you been to this Wegmans? Whatâs your go-to snack or meal from here? Drop it in the comments, and donât forget to smash that like and subscribe for more reviews, only on Boss...
Read moreThis is one of the wonkier Wegmans in the area. I prefer the Pittsford location even though itâs a little out of the way for me because of issues Iâve dealt with at this location.
The parking lot is terrible; walking to put my cart away, a woman earlier almost hit me to cross through several spots to leave by the front of the store, and then a car going the opposite direction almost hit her after I walked past. Itâs a bad design and people are careless in it.
Product selection is weird too. Theyâll have some things and then 1-2 items short that the other stores have. (For example, several of the Fever Tree mixers but not the ginger one, or only the diet version of some sodas, like Dr. Brownâs). If they do carry what youâre looking for, 8/10 times, theyâre out of it. Iâm not sure if itâs a stocking issue or what, but Iâve run across this for basic necessities on several occasions for things like detergent.
Also, several times Iâve been told I canât use self check out. It says âtwenty items or lessâ and Iâve been told I canât use self check out despite meeting that requirement, even when itâs not busy. They have two whole self check out areas, will keep one open, and then still turn you away even if you clearly donât have over twenty items. Itâs not worth the hassle to argue with the employees either, but if youâre going to turn away your customers from using self check out, then there should be more registers open.
Honestly, between all these factors, Iâd rather drive over to the Pittsford store even if I need something simple like milk and eggs or clothes detergent because Iâd rather not deal with the continuous problems and hassle Iâve dealt with at...
Read moreThis location has steadily gone downhill and I would dare to say it's one of the worst in our area simply due to their lack of customer service. Today was my last straw with this place. I placed a pickup order like I've done at other locations numerous times before. When I was en route to pick it up the app said it was already picked up which wasn't accurate so I called the main customer service thinking that it was just an error. They transferred me to this specific location since this is where my order was supposed to be. I was then informed that it was put back because I didn't pick it up within the time frame. I've done this before and it was never an issue but also I was given a different time frame on their end than the one I requested and the store was about to close. Also, not only did they put my items back but this was not communicated in the app or otherwise with an email. Nor did they immediately issue a refund. The attendant offered little help other than just saying "Just call Instacart." When I told her I didn't put the order in through Instacart but through the Wegmans app she got a bad attitude at the fact that she had to give me the number for me to call to request a refund on items I needed and they're the ones that put it back why not automatically issue a refund after putting the items back. Additionally, when I asked to speak with a manager to further express my frustration she just got more of an attitude and transferred me to a random department in the store I'm assuming to get me off the phone. Save yourself the hassle and go to another location...Pittsford is right up the road. Or another chain altogether...
