best little hidden natural treasure in the city. old growth oak trees and glacial kettles. many people who have lived in the area their whole life dont know about it. watch out for ground bees! they arent generally aggressive, but will sting without being provoked in the spring if you are too close to their nest. be aware if you head generally north on the trails you will eventually come to the water towers completely painted by local artists. they are a very interesting juxtaposition to the natural beauty. the compositions are always changing too. pick up any trash that you see, as it’s not managed by the county parks dept. and if you walk your dogs here, keep them on a leash and clean up after them!

Really enjoyed hiking around this scenic little park. I think the sign at the entrance I took says it best: " A forest in the city". I loved hiking the network of trails, surrounded by beautiful, tall, Oaks. There are some hills, so one can get a nice workout. I followed the trails up to the old water towers and enjoyed the very cool murals and grafitti, very interesting to check out. The trails then led me up to the reservoir, which has a very nice path with tremendous views of the city as well as the hills of the Finger Lakes to the south. Highly recommend this area.

Great place to take kids on a short hike. You will come across many interesting and unique things to see. One of the highlights is the old reservoirs that are now utilized by local artists to create magnificent art. The artwork is always changing which makes it fun to come back every couple months or so. There's a lot of exploring to do, especially for the little ones. Definitely worthwhile to check it out and have a picnic lunch. Enjoy!

This area in Brighton is one of my favorites. The beautiful trails that wind through the Forrest are ideal for walking with friends and family. Additionally, the trails are well maintained, and clearly marked so no one can get lost. The area may seem small, but you can spend hours exploring the woods.

One of the best part is the old water towers. The giant metal structures are covered with graffiti, some of which is very well made and shows the artistic talent of people. In recent years, holes have been cut into the sides of the tanks that allow your to explore inside (you used to have to go in a really small hatch in the tanks). The graffiti is also on the inside of the tanks, and stretches around the full circle. All in all, a very nice...
