I recently lost my phone. It was traumatic. I called Metro customer service, which was very helpful, and they told me I'd need to go to one of their stores. I went to their 1203 State Street location in Schenectady, NY, and was fortunate enough to speak with a representative named Muhammed. I apologize if I've misspelled his name. He was absolutely amazing! Unfortunately for me, I did not have phone insurance. Muhammed immediately helped me apply for phone insurance and I was instantly approved. As a result, I was able to get a brand new, updated, free phone replacement that he arranged to be delivered to my home the next day. When I returned to the store, he activated my phone as well as restored all my photos and contacts, which I'd thought I'd lost forever! While waiting for him at the store, I was also fortunate enough to speak with a young lady named Liz who was also very kind and thoroughly and patiently answered all my questions. I couldn't believe how polite, attentive, and knowledgeable they both were! They truly cared! Just when I feared everything was falling apart, they made sure that I was able to put it all back together. The phenomenal assistance I received from Muhammed and Liz, along with the great customer service representatives I'd talked to on the phone prior to going to the store is why I stay with Metro even though they are a bit more expensive than some of the other phone services. Read moreI am a Metro customer for over 6 years now 2 month ago I lost my phone and went here to get a new one because I was going to Canada in a few days usually no one answer calls here but last time I call a girl answer me I explain her all my problem I tell her I really need my phone and I pay $65 for my plan from years and she said come in store and she will take care of me and when I went I told them I never see them before it was new faces and they said store is under new management now and I said good because no one answer call before the girl there was so nice explained me promotion and help me pick a phone that was in my budget she help me keep my same number and got me same plan for cheap and FREE TABLET and magically the guy with her get all my photos and contact back I am so Thankful I just came back from Canada and paid my bill here now I pay $60 for my phone and tablet I really recommend everyone see her if you come here...
Read moreTerrible business owner doesnt understand customer problems sits on the phone with personal conversations all day nt even taking customer calls! They put a $26 screen saver on my 8yr old phone and she had a case tht we had also purchased from them (totally around $500 in a 5 wk period) her phone dropped about a foot and her screen shattered! The screen protector didnt have a scratch and it wasnt even attached i took the phone back across the street only about a half hour after the purchase....they acted like oh well did not care said it had to be the impact....a foot ..i dropped mine 5 ft and my screen protector broke nt my screen! Thats whats its for!!!!! Terrible and they'll talk you into anything thinkin you gettin a deal spend money bt dont care about you as their customer! They own the store they are not metro pcs themselves they just represent the service! Definitely will be goin back to boost where my money is...
