👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻If I could give this place a negative-0 I would let me start off by saying this place is horrible now at first John seemed nice over the phone but when my car was there I was being charged 90$ for looking at it 400$ for spark plugs and one coil. Never mind my original issue of my exhaust that was another 400$ this place is ridiculous in price and there rude my parts were not that much at all at Autozone and Napa mind you this is my first time at this place which was the first thing he asked me over the phone so then after I say I’d call him back and let him no he decided he was being yelled at which was a complete lie at no point did I even raise my voice let alone yell we had a whole conversation about my car on the same call there’s was no complaints about me being loud before he had a issue givin me the break down of how much each part cost huffy and puffin over the phone then told me to come in if I wanted to no the break down when he new I was working. Mind you he was the one yelling over the phone I became immediately worried about my car being damage more. you see reviews about him being so nice that’s a lie maybe he’s nice to people he no his friends the ones that are ok being ripped off but he is not a good guy at all. Accusing someone of yellin because your not satisfied with my choice treating a new customer like they don’t matter People are just not good people these days everybody wants to take advantage instead of being honest and pleasant. what a huge mistake I made going off the good reviews for this place. I ignored the bad reviews because it had a lot of good ones but lesson learned for Anyone who is thinking of bringing your car here because of all the good reviews you see the devils a liar trust me DONT! Go on Yelp that will show You the bad reviews on google it only shows you the good reviews and one bad review which is the one I ignored about a tune up. but there’s way more bad reviews use Yelp to see them. let me just say I don’t like writing reviews but after this experience this is the worst auto shop I’ve even been to in my life and I’m almost 50years old I had to write this people need to know your going to be ripped off ridiculously they don’t deserve your money your time it is not worth the aggravation. If you're looking for honesty, thoroughness, fast and friendly service, seriously look no further.. I came in a couple weeks ago for a pre-sale inspection on a 2020 Kia. They got me in for the day after I called, and I was in and out the shop in just 30 minutes. I was assured from the dealer selling this Kia multiple times, and from multiple people, that the vehicle was beyond their standard, fully serviced, rigorously inspected. The CarFax was clean too, one-owner, accident-free, low-mileage. I was sold, but thank goodness I had Whalen take a look, as it was quickly revealed to me that this vehicle was far from road-ready, and even a safety concern. Contaminated oil, heavily corroded rotors, pads also needed replacing, cupping on all four tires, potential shock/strut failure and substantial cosmetic damage which the dealer did not disclose to me. After informing the dealer of the mechanic's findings and asking what their team could do, I was never contacted back. Being a young woman on the road, just starting out my career and trying to find something safe within budget.. I feel I'm already at a slight disadvantage in the used car market. And I think the dealer tried taking advantage of that. Thanks to Whalen, saved myself from making a truly poor decision that was not only financially unwise, but a potential safety concern to me and everyone else on the road. My roommate and I both had wonderful experiences with Whalen Automotive. We randomly chose this garage as it is a AAA certified shop. My roommate has a hybrid Kia and one day it just randomly turned into a brick, wouldn’t start or move. AAA towed it to Whalen, where both the communicating and diagnostics were incredible. They replaced the hybrid battery fuse and it no longer stutters when switching from gas to battery during the drive. This was previously overlooked by a Kia dealer who let the car sit in the lot for 4 days without even looking at the vehicle. Since we had such a great experience with his car, I brought my GTI to them for regular service. They found a worn drive belt (previously overlooked by VW dealer during routine maintenance who were also a nightmare to deal with, but that’s another story.) Donna, the service consultant, is amazing at corresponding while your car is there. She calls and texts you with immediate feedback and is always such a pleasure to work with!
