Glad there is a parking lot here. It is a bit of a squeeze so be prepared. The bar is large and inviting. There are booths and tables to sit at in the adjacent room if the noise level at lunchtime is too much. I've enjoyed several lunches here near the fireplace. My first visit I enjoyed a hard cider on tap. The burger with blue cheese was what I ordered. What I got was the BBQ sauce one. I was hungry at this point. So, I cut it in half and discovered it was cooked to my liking. I ate the burger which was great along with the good fries. When the server checked on us I tolder her about the burger mix up. I told her it was ok. She apologized anyway. When she brought the check she'd taken the charge for the cider off.
Thank you, I appreciated that!
This time there was no hard cider on tap. I decided to have a plain iced tea with lemon, which was good. I came back to try the different appetizers they offer. Specifically the egg rolls. I was disappointed to have the server tell us they had no egg rolls. I did enjoy the appetizer platter and nachos for lunch with my companion. Hopefully the hard cider will be back on tap for me next time. Overall I've enjoyed the staff, atmosphere and food...
Read moreHaven't been here for awhile. Usually visit in the summer to catch some music outdoors. The Arsenal City Tavern is a popular place for locals & a last stop for motorcyclists after a ride. We stopped in on Fri 4/26/25 at 6pm for some drinks & eats. We sat at the bar. Bartender, Taylor set us up with drinks & menus. Arsenal City Ale ($6.25) for me & Pinot Grigio ($6.75) for my wife. She had the veggie quesadilla ($12.50) - hot full of roasted veggies. I opted for their famous chicken wings-Thai chili style ($14.50/doz). Eleven varieties of wings. Cooked crispy & sticky - excellent. Total bill was $53 (cash). NOTE: Wednesdays are $.50 wings and bottled beer bucket special. A busy place this Sat. evening. Also half the separate dining room was full. Bar side has hi tops. And there was a duet playing around 7pm. Not fancy, just comfortable like your favorite blue jeans. Fun atmosphere. Hours: M-F 11am-12am, Sat & Sun 12pm-12pm, kitchen closes at 9pm. Good neighborhood bar/restaurant that's very friendly to visitors. Thank you Taylor & the staff. Nick &...
Read moreMy daughter took me here for my bday. She was looking for a place that had "fancy" Bloody Marys and this place came up in the search. We arrive and seat ourselves. The front area has a nice outside patio. Inside front has the bar and bar tables. We decided to sit in the back at a table. There are TVs (no on) and a nice fireplace in the back room. Waitress comes and we ordered. I ordered The Weinburger and my daughter did the cheese and shrimp quesadilla. Normally I order a drink but of course my daughter had that covered. My drink comes and it looks delicious. A Bloody Mary with a slider with pickles on top, chicken tenders, shrimp, a skewer of olives and tomatoes and a celery stalk. After removing all the fixings I got to taste the drink. While it was beautifully crafted it lacked flavor. It was kind of like watered down tomato juice and a splash of vodka. Our food came out next. The burger and fries were really good. The burger was cooked perfectly. My daughter liked her quesadilla as well. Overall it it seems like a nice local spot for peope...
