This is about to be a very truthful reviewâŚ.
Three Months Ago, we contacted McSweeney during my wifeâs search for a third row SUV and the dealership was showing a Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit Edition they had âin stock.â So we contacted them and they stated that it was on their other lot and they would get it to us in ClantonâŚ.
Well when we arrived we sat there for hours only to be told âwe wouldnât receive financingâ for the Jeep only to be suggested a 23 Durango 5.7 that just so happen to be on the lot. My wife loved it so we financed it and came homeâŚ.
The issue with this was the JEEP we wanted to look at NEVER EVEN FREAKING SHOWED UP! Like they just blantantly lied to us about it .
Not to mention, they included a âGPS TRACKERâ charge in the paperwork that was never shown to us and when I told them I didnât want it on my vehicle they stated it was already on there but now they want us to bring it back and have it installedâŚ.
NowâŚ..The first week we had the Durango it blew a coolant line that we had to have fixedâŚand now 3 months into it we have had CONTINOUS fuel issues where the vehicle intermittently doesnât crank and has left us stranded MULTIPLE times only for it to be towed back to the shop and no one be able to figure out whatâs wrong with it because no check engine lights are on and the problem never happens at the shop.
It has become a nuisance and it has caused my wife so many problems that we are now looking to get rid of the Durango.
I have attempted to contact them to rectify the problems but it hasnât been done.
This is not anything against the sales person but the dealership as a hole has some shady practices and I do believe they knew about the issues with the Durango beforehand and sold it to us knowing there...
Read moreNo communication, and worst experience ever at a dealership. So the last time I dropped my vehicle off for service, I set in the waiting area for 3 and a half hours with my vehicle under the garage only for them to tell me they forgot about me and ask me to come back the next day. I come back the next day and they do not even fill my wiper fluid, even though my vehicle was there for an oil change and fluid check. Then my vehicle has an electrical chip go bad and I get a check engine light on so I take it to McSweeney and they check it out and tell me its a chip and then they tell me they ordered it and would leave the ticket open until it came in and they get it fixed. Well 3 months go by with no word from them and now its time for my next oil change, I go in and ask about it and they tell me the ticket had been closed. So they reopen the ticket and I leave my vehicle for it to be fixed yet again and as the hours go by no word on when it will be ready, now its the end of the day on a Friday and they still have my GMC Yukon AT4 and they have given me no time that it will be fixed, no loaner vehicle, and no phone call to even discuss my vehicle. I am telling everyone in the area, do not do business with these people. The service department is the worst in the state and you can forget about being called or having your vehicle properly serviced and these people literally do not care about you or the business you bring to them. I would not even give these people a 1 rating as that...
Read moreMy husband and I recently were passing through Alabama on our way to FL when it appeared our transmission went out on our still under warranty Ram 3500. We were towing our 41ft 5th wheel and it was a Saturday. We immediately called the nearest Ram dealer, McSweeney in Clanton, AL. We were told to have it towed to them and once there they would go over our options. Once we made it to the dealership, we were met by Jake Ellis who immediately tried selling us a new Ram 3500, when we showed uncertainty with the offer, he brought in Adam Lader who tried connecting with us as a fellow Michigander. They did nothing but bully us into accepting a significantly lower trade in value for our 3500 that would be repaired at no cost to them, because again it was under warranty. Once we returned home with a vehicle bought under duress, we started making inquiries as to what actually had to be fixed on the Ram 3500 we traded in, since we had bought a Ram 3500 with the same engine and transmission - we donât want this issue again. No one from McSweeney will call us back, we just keep getting a run around. We also inquired at our local Ram dealer what protocol should have been in this situation and they indicated that we should have been offered a loaner until our truck was repaired, and we should not have had to pay for towing since we were under warranty. I would never recommend this dealership. In a time of high stress and uncertainty, they took advantage of 2...
