Runnings — Local services in Claremont

Ordered my meat birds as i did last year. Never recieved a call they were ready I called them. When I ordered, i was told i could pick up my Turkeys and Chickens at the same time as i had to drive 1.5 hours to get them. Called today and was told that my order was ready. I double checked the numbers to make sure it was right. When i arrived i was told that i had lost 5 of my meat chickens. I asked how that happened as i was told 2 hours earlier they were ready for pick up. Plus i never had any birds in my possession to lose. The song and dance of bird orders that were suppose to be in and other customers who were getting incomplete orders was a bit much. None of the excuses had anything to do with my situation. A little honesty goes a long way. They knew my order was short and chose not to tell me when i called. I chose Runnings because of the way I was treated the previous year, which was an extremely positive experience. What a difference a year makes. I was better off at TSC and would have saved gas. I am old school I will travel and even pay more for a quality product and good service. Can't do business where there is no trust or value in the customer. Very...

Was pretty disappointed when my family & I shopped for cold weather apparel (boots, jackets, etc) at Runnings, this past weekend (Claremont, NH location). At check out, all but 1 item purchased rang in at a significantly higher amount than the price advertised on the floor. The items we purchased were even tagged with the matching floor price seen on the racks (if they were stickerd at all) & the young man cashing us out refused to make the adjustment, even after it was established that the amounts registering were so different. He called a floor supervisor (im guessing) who went & verified tha advertised prices, whose only response was to then get on the radio & notify another employee that "a lot of items on the floor were priced wrong." The cashier then stated: "Just because the tags & rack signs said a certain price, didn't mean the items were actually priced for that amount at this time, & he was sorry if we couldn't understand that." The difference in cost was literally around 200 dollars. In closing, it all came off much like a scam, & we will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN, OR RECOMMEND ANYONE...

I don't really know what I didn't like about Runnings -- it was very "vacant", meaning that it felt unfriendly & without personality. It felt like a warehouse store, but without the warehouse prices or selection. I was there for two specific areas -- pet supplies & garden supplies. It's March & here in New Hampshire, it's too early for the onslaught of gardening goods, so they don't have plants or anything like that yet, but they had some seed starting supplies, which I bought. And some items were extremely well priced, others were not. Likewise with pet supplies. I really can't speak about the remaining areas if the store. I never had a single store associate ask me if in needed assistance (which I could have used, seeing as I'd never been there before). The best part was that you can bring your pets in the store with you & I met some wonderful dogs & pet owners. For now, I can only give...
