I never write reviews and quite honestly I wasn’t going to write a review until I spoke to the owner Jamie. I originally got my hair cut and colored November 11th which turned out great I reached out to Brooklyn to get my hair thinned out more since the ends were still pretty thick. We reschedule for November 21st at 6pm everything was going good with the thin out she asked for assistance from another hairdresser who came over and asked if she could take a small amount to get it thinned out I said that was fine not understanding why they needed to make it a tad shorter but hey I’m not a hairdresser. I then left, went home and no one said anything about the cut once I got home and felt the back of my hair, I was thinking it felt weird I had my husband take a picture and low and behold the back is MUCH shorter in so many different places and uneven. I’ve been crying nonstop. So I messaged Brooklyn who then admitted she over thinned a section at the bottom. Not sure why they wouldn’t say anything while I was sitting in that chair. So I asked her to please put me in contact with the manager, well the manager who is in fact the owner Jamie didn’t call me but just had Brooklyn to tell me $23 would be sitting up front in a envelope and that Jamie would look at once it grows out. Could have the decency to call me. So told Brooklyn I still wanted her to call me but she was too busy with appointments that day to call me so I told her after thanksgiving would be just fine. So I decided to message Jamie on Instagram on Friday and to be quite honest to get everything out because I was still very frustrated with what happened. She responded to me today and boy did I not expect the conversation to turn out so heated. Yes I asked for a full refund because I need to go somewhere else to be able to fix this once it grows out and $23 isn’t going to get this fixed anywhere professionally and after the conversation i had with the owner i definitely didn’t want to go back. I had no clue asking for a full refund would have Jamie saying i was bully Brooklyn and the conversation would turned out to be so unprofessional. A simple no and explanation would’ve been fine. Yes I loved the color Brooklyn did. She did amazing on the color and the original cut but not once did I bully Brooklyn or say anything mean to her I believe I was being very professional with telling her how I felt. I do believe Brooklyn will turn out to be an amazing hairdresser with more education. But as far as the owner, i’m sadly disappointed with how that conversation went, and the lack of...
Read moreI’m from Okc & got married September 8,18 at my father n laws. My appt at JLS was at 2pm & wedding at 6pm. I have naturally curly hair & they said they could do my hair. My hair going in wasn’t fixed & I was wearing a ball cap. The girl Alley sat me down, removed my hat & started running her fingers thru my hair w/out wetting it so making it extremely frizzy. I asked 3x if she would wet it to fix it & she said I’d loose volume. She messed with my hair for an hour making it more frizzy & basically giving me an Afro. Women with curly hair have to wet it first to fix it & apply a creme or mousse to tame the fizziness. She had completely ruined my hair & into a tangled unmanageable frizz ball. I left there with no hair do & no one to fix it with 3 hours till my wedding. I cried so hard I had puffy bags under my eyes which ruined our wedding pictures. I’m furious they promised they had someone working there to fix curly hair & yet they did not! I give them a star for the cleanliness & kindness of the workers but I highly recommend NOT GOING THERE if you have curly hair. My wedding pictures are ruined...
Read moreI happen to love living in Claremore as well as supporting local businesses so it pains me to leave a bad review. However, my time is valuable and having it wasted is disrespectful. I called JLS for a haircut appointment and was told 1:45 today 02/10/24. I'm courteous of other people's time as I've been a business owner and know how important it can be so I arrive 5 minutes early. A female who didn't seem very happy to be there tells me that it will be a moment so I sit down and wait. Long story short I leave at 1:57 as a full 15 minute wait started creeping into into family time and still, no haircut or contact with any salon employee. Sadly I'm uncertain if anyone even realized that I left but regardless I won't be wasting my time again and wanted to pass this on for others as JLS didn't even bother with a phone call. Not the business model I would suggest but I guess it's working for them so sadly I'm off to give my...
