I called to make reservations for 2 of the climate controlled 5x10ft units. That was easy enough, until I arrived onsite. They did not have my reservation so I had to go through the process of getting my units on their kiosk. Their kiosk needs to be updated because I practically had to smack the screen for it to recognize my finger. When I get to my unit, B055, it was not even there. There was not a unit B055. My friend had rented B054 so we opened that one to look inside. It was also supposed to be a 5x10ft unit. The unit was more like a 3x5ft unit. At this point I call customer service and the gentleman I spoke with was doing his best to be helpful. He had me check other units that were supposed to be 5x10ft units and none of them were even roughly that size. He had me go to the other climate controlled building and check some of those units and none of them were even close to being 5ftx10ft. I'm 5ft x 3in and I could not lay down flat if I wanted to. I ended up having to take the only 10x10ft non climate controlled unit they had left. The customer service representative took care of switching my account information to the bigger unit. I'm giving it 2 stars because the unit sizes are completely misleading. If you advertise for a certain size the units should be within 6in of that size. I understand that they aren't hard and fast sizes but more than 1ft discrepancy makes a difference in what can be stored in that unit. I needed to store an antique dining room table and totes full of kitchen ware. My table would not even fit in the supposed 5x10ft unit if I wanted it to. Read moreProblem 1: I didn't know how to get the green tag with wires through the lock holes off so I could access my unit. Loss of Day 1 use. Day 2 once phone was answered, the agent told me to twist back and forth and it would break. That worked. Problem 2: The piece that needed to slide over to be able to open the unit would not budge. I'm guessing it needed oil. I spent considerable time and much physical effort to finally get it to the open position. Problem 3: Once I unloaded from my truck into the unit, the slide did not want to go back into position needed to lock the unit. Called and spoke with an agent who had no suggestions of what might be wrong. He advised me all he could do was transfer me to a different unit. I was livid and said Are you KIDDING me??!! I would have to load up from the unit to my truck to move to a different unit and unload again. Im hot and tired with an appointment to get to and that is all he could do with no estimate of how long until I'd get the call (still waiting). He would escalate my problem so that a supervisor when available would call me... So while waiting I kept trying to get it to move back to correct position. I was making sure it was all the way closed when I realized it was not staying all the way down. So I put my foot on the handle while I tried to move it and it worked. Too bad their agents didn't have a list of what causes problems such as mine. So we'll see how long till a supervisor calls. Also I'll see when I go back if it will slide to the open position normally. I'll probably take some WD40 just in case. Not happy so far...

I put up a bad review and got a message someone would contact me, it’s now January 19, 2025 and no one has contacted me. Yesterday my monthly payment came out without a problem yet I still cannot get through the gate to put my Christmas decorations away.
