Sometimes you want someone detail oriented. Amenable to suggestions on how they can make your experiences better. You won’t get that here.

Have a suggestion on how they could make you comfortable with the scope of the work? It’s an assault on their integrity. Want specific details about the work? That’s too much effort for them.

I can see why Ray sends others to do the estimates, no one would want this person on their property after they had to deal with his attitude; very much a child in an adult facade.

Can’t be bothered to tell you what brands of product they use, so they could be anything. Can’t fully detail the work because then you might be able to scrutinize it. Can’t show you pictures of anything because aesthetics, or you having a clear understanding, doesn’t matter. Thinks a quote over the phone is sufficient business practice. Calls you on the road where he can split his attention between you and that of the road he’s driving on (real safe). Website says they want to find solutions to your problems, but any slightly unusual request results in you doing the research and/or providing solutions yourself.

If you have high standards for your project, don’t bother here. They might do good work, but you’ll have to do most the thinking for them. If I wanted that, I’d just do the work myself too. They want you to name a goal and then just let them do it however they see fit, which doesn’t fly with people who have standards and want to “trust, but verify”.

Gonna have to hire a remodeling company because at least I can be sure that details are their bread and butter, and they’ll want to ensure every line item is to their customer’s satisfaction. If you want the same, look elsewhere.

Communication wasn't difficult, it's just that Ray doesn't want to put anything in writing. Everything is "call me". My phone died and he got mad I wouldn't pick up when it was dead? What?

The purpose of the electrical work wasn't to get power to any animals, reptiles or otherwise, it was to redo the current electrical setup for upcoming insulation work that would prevent future electrical work. Great attention to detail there Ray!

The request was as uncommon as asking for custom cabinetry, which Ray claims to have experience in.

I had intended to write them an email back with all the things figured out that Ray couldn't sit down to hash out, since it was obvious that hardly any details were going to be determined by their "expertise" but rather by forced research.

The email I sent him was an explanation of quality business practices people should expect in a company. Things that assure the customer understands the project and can scrutinize the scope and details. Ray didn't seem to like that these practices don't align with the way he runs his business, so he then chose to take offense, rather than consider his customers concerns. I had no idea he'd go full baby and respond by telling me off.

Thanks to forums and the like, Ray can live with the consequences of his actions by having his dirty laundry aired for all to consider when they look for someone they can trust to do important work on...

If we could give more than 5 stars we would! We had a very 2000s kitchen, black counters, orange hardwood flooring, small and not ideal for a family of four with two toddlers! We now have the most beautifully renovated, spacious kitchen of my dreams- All thanks to Ray, Tricia and the rest of the amazing Dreyer crew! (I should also add we replaced our flooring as well as our staircase and moved around some old cabinets to live a second life in the garage) Everyone was patient, prompt, respectful and professional throughout the whole project… and somehow still made us feel like part of the family!
