I purchased a Kenmore 700 from Avon Appliance in February of 2015. . I received a 90 day warranty, and about a week before the warranty expired it stopped spinning. I called them to make a claim for repair, and then the nightmare began. They first claimed non-stop that the only reason the washer stopped working was because my tenant had overfilled the washer which she never did. I made an appointment for it to get fixed and they didn't show or call. They came late the second time and spent 5 minutes on it and left. It wasn't fixed, but they tried to say that it was fixed and my tenant broke it again after 1 washing! A week later I had an appointment I confirmed the day before and they didn't show again. The next day they didn't show again. This is the fourth time! They finally show and have to leave to buy a socket set, but when they leave it's finally fixed. Well, two weeks later it broke again. I had an outside appliance repairman look at it, and he said the motor shaft was bad because it had been used so long before I bought it and it caused another part to go bad. He also said they replaced that part with a used part that isn't made anymore because it's all plastic. When I called back, they said that it was out of warranty even though they never fixed the original problem. I feel they just did the bare minimum to make it work until the warranty expired. A warranty is only as good as the company behind it and this one was worth nothing! This was easily the worst customer service experience that I have ever...
Read moreMy father found these folks while dining at the Clayton Cafe. He was visiting me nearby, knew that I needed a new washer and subsequently purchased a front loading model for $425. After 5 washes, the machine stopped draining. I called them and the next day they came out to look at the machine. He stated the pump was out and replaced the machine with another model exactly the same. Fast forward about 8 days and 5 more loads of laundry and I find a shredded pair of pants in the machine. Upon closer inspection, I find within my clothes a rubber seal patch that had been GLUED to the seal which had a he in it thus causing the mangled pants (which happened to be Ralph Lauren) I call them AGAIN and they come take the machine away. No call for two days.. Finally I call them and the run-around begins which is still continuing. Their response for the next 3 calls was that they haven't looked at it yet. Mind you, THEY never bothered to call me-I had to call them. Bad customer service. Finally my dad called them and they accused me of overloading and even went so far to accuse my 5 yr old of tampering with it or putting a foreign object in the machine. As it stands now, we are "waiting on the part". To be continued... They have STILL refused to speak to me. Horrible customer service and apparently so are...
Read moreBad products. Even worse customer service. I go in and pick out the washer and dryer I wanted and asked if they could hold the set for 2 days until I got paid. They agreed. I come in to pick up the set to find out it has been sold. (Not the end of the world but frustrating) I proceed with a different set that looked similar. 5 months down the road the heating element burned out in the dryer.(Not the end of the world but frustrating) I call to see if they have one and the lady answers the phone and lets out a big sigh like shes got better things to do. She doesnt ask for my number, doesnt give me a price, and was just very rude. I then called back to give my number and she acted like I was bothering her again. I went that day and picked up an element at a different shop and fixed it that evening. I have yet to hear from them. Awful....
