I've had pizza king Clayton 3 times now 2 To go 1 dine in all 3 times the food was awesome!! First 2 times we just got pizza and bread sticks to go then we went last week dined in and got a pizza, 3 reg bread sticks,3 Bosco sticks, full chicken bacon ranch sub, 2 drinks again all was fresh hot and delicious.. the restaurant was clean. They have a couple TV's to watch and some cool old pics of the town on the walls.. they have coloring books or a pizza king coloring paper with crayons for the kids.. great service!! we had 2 different employees check on us to make sure all was good.. then before we left I believe it was the owner guy he came out and asked how we liked it or if there was anything else he could do for us.. we were stuffed full of food and took the rest home with us,the owner guy boxed and bag and topped off are drinks for the road.. what a place to eat!! I’ve had Pizza King for family dinners since I was a child and they have always a offered a great pizza, that’s unique and local to Indiana (give just a regular pepperoni pizza a try, it’s excellent and different than others). What sets this location apart is the absolute fantastic attention to making your food the right way. It’s easy to tell they manage their stock of fresh ingredients very well and that their cooks are very well trained and care about their job resulting in a spot on, fresh, delicious pizza. I grew up on small town Pizza King pizza. It has been decades since I’ve found a pizza King as good as that one from up north was. Well, tonight I found it. Clayton Pizza King is the greatest. The owner Steve was wonderful to talk with. His store is clean, the staff is friendly and thoughtful. And of course the food was amazing. We had cheese bread and a meat lovers pizza. I grew up loving the Stromboli. The ones I saw being made tonight had me wishing I hadn’t already filled my stomach with great pizza. You really cannot go wrong with anything on this menu.
