Sicilia Pizza — Restaurant in Clayton

As I travel all throughout New Jersey quiet often for business , I often find myself with few really good food options outside of the Chain Restaurants (Ew) . I grew up in Philadelphia , so I like to support my local family owned restaurants & try good eats. It was a little after 8PM last night when I called , I was tired & hungry so I knew I would need to get something filling to hold me over for this 2 hour drive home. I skimmed through many options in this area but decided to place my faith in Sicilia Pizza.

The 2 staff members were cool & I told them it’s my first time ordering so they said they got me covered👍

In terms of the food , let me start by saying the Alfredo was DELICIOUS. I am a picky eater & I HATE cheap ingredients & food , I can tell immediately when I’m eating cheap food. I could tell your ingredients are QUALITY👍

However , $18+ for a HALF filled tray of Alfredo with a tiny salad ? I have no problem paying more for good food but I left a tip still for the good customer service .

My first reaction when I opened my food was that they got the size wrong.. but I tried the Alfredo & it was TASTY to say the least . I could tell they did not rush to make it & the Alfredo sauce was not the cheap stuff The mini Caesar salad was good.

The meal is small so they try to give you a bunch of bread along with it to fill you up which I understand but the bread was EXTREMELY chewy & had a plastic texture. I threw the bread in the trash.

Walked in to order after work on a Sunday afternoon. Employee that helped me was very pleasant and friendly, however my food was less than average. First time here ordered a chicken cheese steak with mushrooms and ranch and old bay fries. When I got home I had raw mushrooms and ranch in a container in the bag, nothing was on the sandwich. If I wanted to make my own sandwich I would not have stopped, and the mushrooms were raw, I didn not know I would have to specify to put the mushrooms and ranch in the sandwich as I've ordered this other places and they are on the sandwich as well as mushrooms being cooked. Chicken was very dry and the old bay looked and tasted more like heavy salt and pepper. Probably will not go back even tho the staff was pleasant...

This is my go to 🍕 place! From the dough to their sauce, just tastes really good! You can tell it’s made with a combination of great ingredients and by someone that actually really CARES!!!. Never just slopped together. Their menu has a great selection, Definitely something for everyone! Even the pickiest ones!!! 😂 It is a family owned business too! It’s the kind of place that you go to once and by the second time you order from them, your face is remembered! The owner always goes out of his way to say hi and ask how everything is going.
